Searching INPs

Is there an FAQ somewhere on how to search/display INPs? If bringing up all INPs was the default then this site would be user friendly. I was once able to view all INPs by scrolling down and clicking through the pages to cover all games from # to Z. I know there is some trick to it, but it's been a ...

Re: Inconsistent Pac-man Patterns in MAME

the first point is probably machine related and not emulation, keep the F11 view open and you should be able to count frames when emulation is running and see the counter stop if the machine is taking over and doing something else while the emulation pauses. I figured as much. But it's the pattern ...

Inconsistent Pac-man Patterns in MAME

I've been testing out some new strategies on Pac-man and ran into some anomalies. Once in a while the game will briefly freeze and some times skip ahead. I assume that this may be because of processes running in the background.(Though I have nothing running that I can tell). A bigger problem is in t...

Portable Low Power MAME Machine

The biggest issue for me when it comes to using a laptop for MAME is the battery issue. I've been trying to figure out the best way to get the most number of hours out of a re-charge and was looking for advice. One of the laptops I have is an IBM ThinkPad T22. Since I presently run MAME from a Sandi...

Re: Image Position and Width Problems

My guess would be a difference in how your usual monitor handles different resolutions, as opposed to an LCD monitor. LCD monitors have a static resolution. While you can "set" the resolution, the monitor will simply stretch or shrink the image to fit its native resolution. Try disabling ...

Re: Image Position and Width Problems

No, I play no Play Choice games. Just the regular Nintendo version of Mario Bros.. Why there is a reference to Play Choice in the ini folder is beyond me. There is nothing there that says Nintendo. I also no nothing about pan controls or where they are at. But the positioning of the image is not the...

Re: Image Position and Width Problems

Is MAME set to change resolutions when it goes fullscreen (it is by default)? If Mario Bros. is using a resolution different from the others, then your monitor could be using different adjustments for that mode. Use -verbose to see what resolution that it's using. Also, there could be different set...

Image Position and Width Problems

I have WolfMAME 106 on a Sandisk flash drive. When I boot up Mario Bros. the screen is a little too far to the left, but the several other games I play all center properly. When I take this same sandisk and plug it into a different system I have that uses an LCD monitor and boot up WolfMAME 106 the ...

Re: Using the "forgot your password" form on MARP

Last I heard, you mentioned something about an error reporting that you had attempted to login too often. Usually that's a security measure, and you would be able to log in probably not too long after that (24 hours at the very most). I haven't heard anything from you since. If you're the one I e-m...

Re: Using the "forgot your password" form on MARP

I was locked out of this forum for two years until last month when it finally for some reason allowed me sign in.

I received no help for the problem after e-mailing several times.

I assume that my username and password can stop working at anytime.

This is is a poorly run site.

How To Playback Recordings
