Re: upload url

Pat Garrigue wrote:just to upload my bankp inp
Now that the message is on the forum, to place future recordings you can just edit this post, rather than make a new post or reply to this one.

That way it won't keep getting bumped to the top of the forum.

the main reason disk space is wasted is if someone upload a 433230 score and then a 434890 score and then a 434891 score. Well I have resisted on occasion uploading a score that wasn't enough of an improvement, but wouldn't it suck if you had a high score at 400k, and didn't bother to upload a scor...

As far as zeroing etc. what difference does it make if a newer inp has been uploaded? The old one is voided as far as high score and leaderboard points. If one submits a higher score for a game that one already has a recording uploaded, and the membership winds up deciding to remove the newer submi...

Take the filename of the recording, without the ".zip" on the end. Find the MD5 digest of the name. There is a generator here: http://www.lagmonster.org/cgi-bin/encrypter.cgi The first three hex digits of the MD5 digest are the names of the subdirectories the inp is stored in. For example:...

Solar Quest is a favorite title for me Well heck, you seem to pretty much own the games with Asteroids-type controls on MARP. I'm tempted to make a list, but it would be a looong one. Don't you like Asteroids Deluxe though? What about Space Duel? And I really wanted to keep that high score on Rip O...

And now all games seem to work with hwstretch disabled. I had always had it enabled on my previous system, but as long as the same setting works for all...who cares. :D

Okay, I see in the game description at KLOV there is a "nuke" device I didn't know about...that's the other number on the screen. Doesn't seem extremely useful though. I guess it might work well against the little round things once they start jittering around, but I don't seem to have that...

I had a P2-450 on Windows 98 and just upgraded to a P4-2.4 Ghz running Windows XP too. :) (ok, so it's not exact, but close...) Damn close! Go to Control Panel, then Display. Go to Settings and then Click on Advanced. I had something here called "Intel Extreme Graphics", maybe it's on you...

New Computer - MAME issues

My old computer finally crapped out Friday night. Oh well..it was time for a new one anyway. I'm having some problems with MAME on the new machine that I didn't have on the old one. The previous one was a 400Mhz P2 running Windows 98, the new one is a 2.53 Ghz P4 with XP. It's sort of satisfying bei...

Looks like he's grabbing them.

And now if his poll is successful they'll be taken away?

A man of strong convictions, certainly.

I ordered the new 2100dpi version.

Will report when I get it whether it makes a difference in MAME or not.

How do you start with five ships in this game?

Even if I set the DIP switch to "5" it still starts me out with four. Can't see how to do it in service mode either.

And what is that other number underneath the score? It starts out as 7 for me but I don't see what it relates to.

I thought the general rule was that warping is allowed as long as it's not dependent on the results of a previous game. (Like Millipede or Tempest) That would put Major Havoc in sort of a gray area as one only uses a single credit technically, but using information (codes) that are given in previous...
