For info, I re-found the formula which calculates dollars earned in the game :

Win on match N = (pts difference)x3000xN

Multiply by 10 for N>9
And replace 3000 by 5000 for a win by 7-0

I've looked the mame.cfg file and it states only ym3812opl = no, there's no other setting about the ones you wrote, Chad. I even downloaded the win32 mame but the game looks awful with it; maybe Tim you should try the way Joey did, dosmame -nosound.

EHM, I was nearly forgetting that: I did see BBH complete inp few weeks ago (892,100 pts) but I don't know if I can "confirm" scores as others do (I don't have any speed checker or whatever)

I don't think it makes any difference (IMHO BBH's right: nam may play back only on certain version of mame) but here is what I found on mame.cfg

ym3812opl = yes
oplfm = no
ym2203opl = no

I've used this command line: dmame.exe nam1975 -soundcard1 -noscanlines -joy 8button -record nam1975 (maybe scanlines are the clue??)

It seems that this driver works very fine with the latest mame, but the game acts quite differently from older versions of mame; so much differently that I think we should delete our old recording for this set and play with mame 059 (btw it seems to me that now the game is much harder than before......
