Alright, I'm guilty. The knckhead inp doesn't play back. I know I should have tried to play it back, but I didn't want to bother because it was a shitty recording that I was just going to upload for the time being, because I didn't want to bother playing that shitty game any more at the time. The on...

oh .. and I'm told the USA versions of the games use the same roms and its a non user changable value in EEprom that selects the language, so theres hope you'll see the USA Space Bomber yet, I'm guessing from the talk here you've played it on a real machine? Yeah. In English the intro goes somethin...

mmm... Strikers 1945 II... Don't forget Space Bomber. :) Oh yeah, nice sig. :) I just hope Space Bomber's intro doesn't become the next Zero Wing. Then again, it seems like only the Japanese version of Space Bomber is supported? And wouldn't have "NO! GO TO STAR!"... either way, Space Bom...

Yes, fewer games. It's hard to have good competition when there's that many games in such a short time... but then again you don't have to play them all. And still, it felt like the criteria on which games were picked were too loose... coordinators picking games they're good at (come on, who's going...

This was discussed on the old board... and leeching on Stage 2 was pretty much outlawed, although at least one person was still doing it. I argued that leeching can't be done FOREVER (the points you earn always end up just shy of an extra), and to really take advantage of the gold you build up, you ...

IIRC (it might only be the two later games in the Metroid series, which would figure), it'll show the time taken to complete the game at the end of the ending sequence. Guess what? It is only the two latter games. QRS: I'm not that good at Guerilla War, really. That game is so cheap. Kale: R...

Would you REALLY be willing to set aside a few hours of your life to watch a Metroid inp from beginning to end to verify the length it took, and all the items that were picked up? If people were really itching to "compete" on Metroid, I'd think there would be some inps finishing it by now....

Playchoice-10 Issues

some thoughts concerning what should be done with some PC-10 games: Castlevania - leeching REALLY needs to be banned in this game. If you look at Moreno-DF's recording, you'll see that he does a good deal of leeching using the holy water on zombies on Stage 1... they award a bonus of 1K + 2K + 3K wh...

what version were these inps recorded with anyway? I'm assuming 0.58, but with both DOS and MAME32 they always break in the same spots... the Realy Till one loses sync on Schmitt, the Macky & Pentell one screws up on Hungry Bitch... on a related note, I was once considering making inps finishing...

the mid-80's Sega/Coreland games, where playback has to be done using the same frameskip that was used to record with (and the frameskip can't be altered during recording or it breaks). i.e. if it's recorded on fskp 0, you must leave it on fskp 0 for the duration of the recording. Sega Ninja/Ninja P...
