Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
Well, yes, people who are competing on this site, putting in real effort to play games properly and get good scores. Personally, not my vote, I write the emulation, I'm a bad player just like you, so I try not to spam MARP with my junk. Yes, you are a bad player but I feel sorry for your bad charac...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
Shall we put that to a vote? Voting who? You, Kale, bbh and the rest of doggies? Or people who are affected from your cesspit?... Is this the way you judge the "fair" in you life? Because it looks like more like a cowardice. Well, yes, people who are competing on this site, putting in rea...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
You seem to not understand the difference between the spirit of competition and 'rules' You seem to not understand the basic concept of 'do not be a dick' You seem to think it's ok to copy any bad behavior others show, and use that as your reason. This has been pointed out to you 1000 times. This i...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
The competition IS fair, a few people with scores on a broken game isn't affecting the competition. Then why you blame me when I do what others do? People uploading scores for lots of broken games, or trying to grab 1st places using broken games or putting in an absolute minimal effort is *not* fai...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
They don't, they should get -500 points or whatever is suggested for playing a broken game too, but using the 'somebody else did it' excuse is playground stuff, preschool. Show that you're better than them, not that you're willing to sink to any level, even ones that are *obviously* wrong. I have m...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
So when you fired up World Rally 2, saw a big red warning telling you the game doesn't work, and proceeded to 'play' the game, what was going through your mind? Did you feel the game was functioning as it should? Did you think you were producing something that the community here would be impressed ...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
As you know, I don't. Did you ever saw something fake from me? Now, when scores exists for 10 years(like in wrally2) why is bad to add mine too? Do we all have the same rights, yes or no? So when you fired up World Rally 2, saw a big red warning telling you the game doesn't work, and proceeded to '...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
"Begged"? And what is mamedev? The people who have actually created the emulator that you're using. The people who know how it works, know how the games work, know when they're in a decent state for competition and know when they're not. Logical minds, problem solvers. You've attacked sev...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
Interesting proposition, but has to do with this thread? Where did I say it was about anything else? Forgot to add a "what", the right sentence is "but what has to do". You were off topic, same that Kale's post after yours. If you want to discuss ideas about competing make a dif...

Re: More fake uploads from Saulon
Maybe you just need a rule that no leaderboard points count for any game / set where less than 4 people have submitted scores. Might stop this 'spamming for easy first places on completely random / broken sets' It's meant to be a competition afterall, why award points where nobody is competing? Int...

Re: Operation Wolf
all scores for the original sets that were recorded with anything less than MAME 0.176 should probably be 0'd, the game simply wasn't properly emulated before then. while the c-chip still isn't emulated the current simulation is much, much more accurate, and the game appears to play properly, prior...

Re: MAME 0.182 Game Changes
yeah, if you've got a version with that stuff missing then you don't have MAME, there is absolutely no intention of removing such things from the main project, MAME has grown beyond it's arcade roots and is now a vehicle for digital preservation of all kinds. you probably have some unofficial thing ...

Re: Operation Wolf
Bryan did a good write-up of it when he improved the protection simulation based on the prototype instead of the bootleg http://www.bryanmcphail.com/wp/?p=794 basically lots of little game events that simply don't happen with the old simulation code (or in the bootleg on which it was based because t...
