Re: MARP hosting

Also, I haven't checked around to see what other hosting options there are for the resources that marp uses. There could be cheaper or easier options which could make it worth it to switch.

I'll help as much as I can in any sort of changes that end up being done, with my limited free time.

Re: MARP hosting

I've actually been a bit lax in keeping things maintained... Updating the forum software isn't too difficult, for the most part it's a one button update sort of thing. The actual replay site I don't touch at all other than setting up the account to host the files and database. Barry (or someone else...

Re: MARP hosting

Thanks Wolfman :)

I just noticed that Dreamhost has a sale on, for about half price, if that's an option anyone is considering. Cheaper than my hosting... Expires on Monday though.

Re: MARP hosting

I wanted to contact Barry before saying anything here so it wasn't a complete surprise :) I have a beautiful little 3 month old girl, and otherwise busy with real life these days. I'm sure you've noticed I haven't exactly been active here in some time, but I kept things going with hosting because of...

Oops!

Sorry about the domain lapsing into unregistered status for a short time - I recently moved and was without an internet connection for two weeks, and I forgot the date was so close.

Re: Can someone remove globalpoweringgathering.com?

Is this still a problem on the site? I was pretty sure I got rid of all those bits, just wanted to make sure.

Re: Forum Appearance

In either case, storage wasn't the issue. My account overall is using maybe 1% of my quota, and Barry's isn't anywhere being full either. I purged the cached stuff on the board and things seem to work again now. Not sure what the exact problem was.

Re: [UPDATED 2008-01-15] Forum upgrades

Things appear to be working again, and the board has been updated to the latest version in the process. As for people having issues with the new theme, I activated the "subsilver2" theme - if you want to use that one, switch to it in your user control panel. Something more familiar for tho...

Re: [UPDATED 2008-01-15] Forum upgrades

looks good so far...but I am having trouble visually seeing where 1 post ends and the next starts. IS there a way to change color scheme for that element so you see a definitive line between posts or threads etc. in listings? might just take darkening up that extremely light blue a little bit. very...

Hi all, Yes, I haven't been around here much these days. I just don't have the free time for it :( Those captcha systems just don't work to stop spambots. They can get around them easily enough. All they do is annoy the normal users. The idea about having to answer a simple question that a bot could...

Thanks for the donation Weehawk!

Once again, Weehawk is kicking ass with his donation for hosting fees this year. I think there should be enough in the account now for the next two years, as I ended up paying close to $200 myself a few hours before that donation :) I don't usually read the forums these days or play many games in MA...
