Speaking of which... should we start requiring people to do Twinkle Star Sprites with the difficulty at Level-8? :->

Okay, now that a decision's been made - if you end up in that area in the first two rounds, are you required to go after the little flame figure as quickly as possible, or can you try and pick up a few extra secondary weapon charges first (going after bouncing heads - which is NOT a low-risk activit...

Re: 4-D Warrior Poll

This is where I have problems - I have trouble getting to round 3 even without leeching. And, considering how you only get three extra lives (30k, 70k, and 100k), I'm in favor of saying you can leech once per round until you die for the first time - then you MUST complete that area as quickly as po...

Re: 4-D Warrior Poll

Hi This is my first poll, so I hope I do it right. I've just watched MD@Team7us's '4dwarrio' recording, and its an extremely educational recording of leeching, sorry MD :D Yeah, it is. No apology needed - that's what I was trying to demonstrate. That area with the bouncing heads and floating Darth ...

Yeah, and especially, what happens if none of them want to do this job? Do we force one of them into it, or do we then open it up to the general MARP membership?

Uh, the TG settings for Pengo do allow bonus lives. If they didn't (which would be a good idea as well), I wouldn't have bothered with the poll.

Pengo - TG vs. default

Seeing as how it's a bit harder to get higher scores on Pengo using the default settings than with TG settings (default starts with 3 lives, TG starts with 5, but that's the only difference), it seems a little unfair that people should be allowed to use TG settings that are easier than the defaults.

Just play it a hell of a lot. It's probably at least partly random.

Here's an idea: Score: (1000 * runs + 100 * hits - errors) - (100 * computer runs + 10 * computer hits - computer errors). As far as timed games go, I'd say use the same scoring system, except: An uncompleted half-inning is counted as a complete one (makes sense); If the player has one more half-inn...
