On this game its important to get a good calibration on the joystick in the first 10-15 seconds. Do a lot of full circles with the stick. If after 10-15 seconds you don't fly straight when you let go of the stick, start over and try again. I can get a good calibration about half the time. I find it ...

Allowing Default Settings on One Joust Romset

Since the decision with Robotron was made to keep one romset on default settings to allow marathon submissions, I would like to propose that the same thing be done for other games where "only 5 lives" special rules have been added. In particular I'd like to propose that the "joustwr&q...

Also, I notice that first place at TG's MAME track on Robotron is 595k, held by Leslaw Skrzypek of Poland. Does anybody here know him? Is he a MARP member? Yes, Leslaw is "SLA" on MARP. Not sure where he is now but I think he may have moved to California a couple years back. Haven't heard...

In some cases I think the better question is how TG accepted certain scores. In this case that may not be the problem, but in some cases I'm sure it is.

I agree that Windows XP is fundementally MUCH better grounded than 98. Of course if you are already on the internet and posting to this forum, you probabably already have an OS installed and are likely to stick with it.

One question, if Louie beats his own record (or Tech-D's), is the bounty still available? To clarify for my further bounties that are currently active (Mario Bros. and Time Pilot), the bounties are still active even if I beat the bounty scores first.

In that case the special rule should probably just be removed. Like you said before, if you can record it and play it back in a version, that should be enough.

Why is that rule even there? If it plays back, does it really matter? Some sort of explanation would be very useful here. Maybe it was done as result of this thread: http://forums.marpirc.net/viewtopic.php?t=11681&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=vasara Apparently there wa...

I just run some Preloads T&F genre inps, using analinp. T&F +3 clones=4 88games +2 clones =3 6 of these 7 inps show clear use of rlh-cheat (win74-bit24, wolf74u1- bit 12) Use of RLH also looks to be very intentional, for example at hes hypsptsp recording he pushes rlh 200 times...sometimes ...
