Already given up Mr Spammer, 5 months, and I wouldn't recommend it either as ever since I stopped smoking I've been a miserable bastard

Thanks Anders. Well I really am starting out at the beginning having never even put on a guitar let alone play one. I got my new bass a few days ago and have just been sort of strumming around, trying to get a feel for the notes etc. I may give you or John a shout if I having a question on anything ...

I had this across the road from me in the legend that was "The Olympia" amusement arcade. I always wandered what happened to this and the other old games they had in there (Boot Hill etc) when it closed in the early 90's. It was a real arcade museum. Another game I would dearly love ...

I'll be the first to admit I don't really know much about this side of things but surely it defies the point of having a secure mame to use for MARP if you just give out the source code. What are the benefits of 'compiling it yourself'?

...or am I missing the point here

Yeah hopefully a few formal lessons to start with and then a copy of 'Bass guitar for dummies'

Good chance I'm going to plump for the Ibanez by the looks of things. Many thanks for your advice Joustgod.

Damn, I only sold my copy of Banjo Tooie on Ebay a few months ago! There's quite a demand for that game now it seems.

In my opinion would be better if Robert put the name and the nickname of the player in the Bounties announcements. It's a nice idea but don't forget that MARP and Twin Galaxies are two completely separate things. We may like to see our nicknames but they'll mean nothing to people who don't frequent...

And now, channelhopping, There comes a music video where band rides on Tron lightcycles, they just ripped the movie but changed characters. Looked like original film footage. Band was from Denmark called "Infernal", song was "From Paris to Berlin". You'll probably like '12:51' b...

Well, I'm just starting out wanting to learn the bass. I have been messing about on an old one my friend lent to me but it's a bit old and knackered so I'm going to buy a new one. Do you have any suggestions on a decent starter bass? I know pretty much to stay away from Squires but I don't know anyt...

Learning a new skill (trying)

Ok, this is about as off topic as you can get! Does anybody here know anything about guitars, bass in particular? QRS I know you play (or used to play) in a band, anyone else?

Basically I'm looking for some advice and I can't be bothered to sign up to anymore forums at the moment :?

Tommi,

Have you tried your spinner for 720 yet? I have a nasty feeling it may not work as the mamedevs changed the controller system for this game from dial to joystick at about 0.85. It no longer works for me anyway! I just get straight up, down, left, right movements.

Good stuff, well done GB.

Also, I didn't know about that home action replay site. Kinda like MARP for home console systems. Looks pretty good.
