Looks like interest fizzled a little bit this last week.
I was on vacation most of the week so that's my excuse :)

Many thanks to John for coordinating this event. And congrats to Ian on some incredible and amazing scores!

John, I saw Jason a couple weekends ago. He did realize that he hadn't contacted you and he was thinking it might be too late. I will let him know that he can still get in touch with you.

With only four weeks remaining, Don will have a tough time overtaking Ian, but perhaps he will have an experience advantage over Ian on Gravitar. I didn't have a chance to play hardly at all this week. Robert M. from TG is visiting Funspot so I was up there last Saturday and Wednesday and I'm headi...

Guess everybody else hated it too.... Well, I do dislike the game somewhat but it is better than Ghosts and Goblins and a few others I could name :). Unfortunately, I had almost no time to play this week and I wasn't near my gaming computer for most of the day today, especially around the submissio...

I'm also strongly considering some sort of procedure much like what MJS proposed for WCC purposes in this post: http://forums.marpirc.net/viewtopic.php?p=31687#31687 I've thought about doing it one week just for experimental purposes. My one misgiving is that it makes the entry of initials painfull...

Gee, Ian wins again...what a surprise :) Weehawk, can't you find a game that he is unable to play?

Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to play this week so I'm actually happy with third. I'm sure I could break 100K on this without too much effort.

Literally can't stand to play this one.
Then why did you pick it???
Hope somebody else likes it.
I personally never cared for it.

Ideally a recording should be uploaded as soon as it is made or as soon as you next go online but there's no way to enforce this. A MAME could conceivably be built where you have the option to upload your final inp when the game is over otherwise the inp is lost forever, in other words you can't 'h...

To my mind, the TG approach of having their secret videos that nobody else other than the judge is allowed to see is more than just a little pretentious. If the person felt it was worth recording to get the score, they should be prepared to share it with the world The wording above is somewhat misl...

I haven't had any luck running the older versions of MAME on either Windows XP or Windows 2000. They do seem to run fine on Windows 98 so that would probably be your best bet.

Ahh! If I had a spinner right now! I could've racked up to 800k! I saw a guy nearly almost marathon that game back the old days. His personal best was somewhere 847k if I could remember correctly. If I could remember the stragety correctly, very similar to Dbh's recording! I picked up most of my st...

I'm beginning to think Ian is not human 8O

And Ian, please don't tell me that you've never played this game before either!

Then all I can say is.....

WOW!!

Just curious, how long did you spend playing it? And, did you use the save state feature to learn the various boards?
Ian Sutton wrote:Shame on you for even suggesting it! :)
I just want to see you break 400K

Ian, please tell me that you already knew how to play this game 8O

Weehawk, an interesting question...does he now have to beat the score he just posted in order to win this week? That *might* give the rest of us a chance :)
