I've noticed that you mention problems like this occasionally. Could be a hardware problem, possibly a slowly dying hard drive.

You can use this program to at least confirm that your hard drive is OK.

I use it, and yes, you should too. If you need a guide for it, its easy to find one using Google.

I agree, there should be a rule to stop abuse.

Put a blank NVRAM file in the same folder as MAME. That will prevent MAME from being able to create an NVRAM folder.

Same result here, loses sync in level 4. I wanted to see how he was able to get past the level 7 elevator, that part is nearly impossible with only 3 lives.
