Gemant and Kaidi's Twinkle Star Sprites score, I think. It's still 700k below mine, but whatever.

I can't play this one back past stage 2. I've tried both DOS and Win32 versions of MAME 0.57, with and without sound.

Anyone else managed to play this one back at all?

Judging by the comments on his recordings, it looks like rainbow is now rainbowo, and rainbowa is now rainbow (the parent set), with rainbowe (extra version) staying as is. The difference is basically just that the C-Chip has been more faithfully emulated now.

could not playback mm_ssideki3_663_mame55.zip with mamew sound or no, doesn't even register credit. Sound to me like NVRAM was used. Most games that use NVRAM, will initialise it at startup when found to be invalid (ie: when there wasn't any to start with). which it wouldn't do if it contained vali...

I'm not entirely sure on it, that's only what I've heard (ie: I haven't beaten stage 2 yet).

If you want to see the rest of the stages you can either change the start level setting, or make a save state just before you beat the boss, then restart MAME and continue from there.

Finished with Dark Ran, 1.75M, 1 life spare, Max hit 26. Not my best, but it's a finish at least.

Oh dear. There appears to be a rather serious bug with the new MMX tilemap engine, causing uneven tiles in many horizontally scrolling games. Check out Ryu's stage in SSF2 and you'll see what I mean.
