Destructor, I'd have thought with all that bounty money you've earned you could easily afford one of those joysticks ;). Next. To moving on arcade you use hand, one hand. To moving on keybord you use fingers, three fingers. What is more confortable? Good point, I use four fingers for movement howeve...

4 - Edit and possibly even hack the code That's a good reason not to. Editing does not have to be a bad thing. I'd like to make some changes to the source, so that pushing F3 during a record does not just reset the game, but also starts a new recording. There are also lots of ways of editing the so...

Daytona USA. Circa £1000 (~$1500 then) back in 1994/95, not proud of it though. Most places were £1 a pop but the attraction of beating the best times and showing off was too hard to resist! One machine was 50p, needless to say that's where I practiced most.

You can tick 'stretch using hardware', set 'clean stretch' none then fiddle about with the aspect ratio. Darius is nice playing in full screen, even your wide screen isn't wide enough for that!

Different architecture, advanced branch prediction, dedicated stack management, optimized L2 cache and lots of other stuff I don't understand :). Plenty of info and benchmarks if you google eg. http://www.gamepc.com/labs/view_content.asp?id=dothandesktop&page=1 . And the CPU speed is dynamically...

Hm..., with left-right moving stargate is easier to control than without it. Agree... but it is not faithful to the original controls. I tried playing it on the new MAME, but the controls are so hard... Aint giving up yet. Defender machines did exist in some arcades with an 8-way joystick for movem...

Just manually create a blank .ini file inside the folders directory eg. Favourites.ini. Then it will appear as a custom folder.

This game is cool, used to play it down the pier between games of Mr Do! and Hypersports ;). Didn't get very good at it though.

It's kind of a hard problem to solve, intractable, a bit like the leaderboard problem there is no perfect solution. I had a few ideas but they all fall flat. Ideally a recording should be uploaded as soon as it is made or as soon as you next go online but there's no way to enforce this. A MAME could...

Yup, same here. In fact if I discovered a 'secret trick' or technique, I would want everyone to know about it so we can all compete on the same level. I really can't understand inp hoarding at all.
