I'm not 100% sure, but I think gunsmokeu has moved to gunsmokeua and gunsmokeu is the actual new clone - can anyone confirm?

Hi Barry, Not sure there's much point in reducing drivers, as there is no impact on execution speed or (as it appears) executable size. Too much work for little impact if you ask me. Anyway, next MAME release will have all the MESS drivers included - are you doing to exclude all of those too? Kranser.

Plays back perfectly - great game play - actual score is 1053600 due to score wrap around.
It's crazy that a game wraps the score during normal gameplay (no leeching) - it's as if they don't expect you to reach that far in the game!!

For me, Lordaxe replay gets to stage 2, but then fails.
Your replace also fails on stage 2.
I replayed using these option but no better:
mamew159.exe puzzli2 -playback a.inp -sound none -nvram_directory NUL -noafs - fs 0

Uh, that only tells you what the settings are available, not what the factory settings are. The difficulty was changed in Ghouls 'n' Ghosts and Strider to level 2 based on the game manuals. It's good that the manual settings are documented - but what if the manuals are wrong (as is not too uncommon...

Looks good. The only issue is it does not deal with backing up, deleting and restoring the nvram folder (as newer MAMEs make a folder with game name rather than gamename.nv). My opinion is that we should split for A, B and C modes now (as default MARP split), and then later (once the splits are established and we have example plays) we can discuss (and vote) on how to handle the mode A continuing to mode B [do we stop scoring after A?...

My Wolfmame 0.151 says 0.151 when loaded, so I assume it is the same version as yours.
It de-synced for me on the vertical scrolling-knight level during the first loop. But on 0.150 [W], it plays back to the end for me. Strange!
