Done with the win37b5 cycle. A few games requires default nvram to work, but all of them is before the cut-off date. Some requires that you do not use F10. (Is throttling using F10 or not using it??) Most of them didn't work no matter what settings I tried, though.

In brutforc and calibr50 the desciption says that uomame32 is used. I can't find old versions of uomame32, so I used the official mame32 instead, which, of course, didn't work. I don't know if the scores should be zeroed before someone gives uomame32 a try.

Anyway, here we go:

brutforc - starts game with no sound, but desyncs immedately. The description says that unofficial Mame32 is used.

calibr50 - resets repeatedly in initialization, regardless of settings. UoMame32

cameltrj-beg - inserts coin but tilts before game is selected

cameltrj-exp - tilts at approx. 74000

cameltrj-spc - starts correct game with no sound, but tilts in the very beginning of the game

grindstm - Mame 32 crashes and exits when trying to play back this one. :?

gwarj - with sound the games stops with a "joystick error" at 13,200
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

majest12 - desyncs at first death. Gets around 74,000 or 76,000 depending on if sound is on or off.

vfive - kills mame32

insector - ok with directsound, fskp 0 and default nvram, confirmed

rompers - ok with directsound, fskp 0 and default nvram, confirmed

ssrdruda - ok with directsound, fskp 0 and default nvram, confirmed

ssriders - ok with directsound and default nvram, confirmed

To tell the truth, I don't care anymore about those recordings... I've been using the cheat option selected by default since the opening of MamEnd (http://www.emuitalia.com/mamend/). I guess most of them don't work with newer versions, plus there were 3 or 4 or them that were *intentionally* slowed down by adjusting some EmuLoader options just to see if I could cheat BenJos-Big Brother-PC... and it seems they always made it. IIRC, they also passed others' speed check (skito, or barry, don't remember), and they always got thru. Whoa!

thanks for admiting if that's really you, you're right: the objective detections we have are not full proof, they can only detect some (50%) of slowdowns by using regular mame though lots more (95%) of autofires. that's why using alphamame/wolfmame is so much appriciated where we can catch a lot higher percentage of cheating, please use that version ONLY for future recordings.

You're welcome. It's fun to do the dirty job sometimes -_-"
Btw QRS, yesterday I was playing a great platform game made by Free Lunch Design, Alex the Allegator 4, and the credits show an Anders Svensson as the musician. Is it a coincidence or is it really you? If so, let me congratulate you, the ingame tune is really cool and "retro"

while you are confessing, would you care to take credit for the "No Mercy" recodings, just curious vaz? your "accomplishement" won't fully be appriciated until you can identify specific recordings as using slowdown (that were not far enough beyond the borderline to dq), with this info we might be able to make the detection process more effective (i.e. a positive coming from the cheating...)

Hell no, I'm not NoMercy. I wouldn't use such an ordinary nickname. I'd use, uhm, Chow-Yun Fat, for example. ^_^
I don't remember which ones I got slowed down. Give me some time to remind, then I'll post again.

I *think* Fire Barrel was one of those, can't remember well anyway.
