Welby's GTG inps works fine, but he forgot to submit the wlf files. The scoring that he did was wrong for example like gtg97-pc he got 139 strokes. The score should be 61 not 139. He should look at the final score at the end like how many strokes that he got then subtract it from 200.

Welby's gtg recording is useless, cause he used the mame default setting without changing any analog settings at all or anything nearer than acrade settings. Why waste your time watching his inp trying to get at least 8-10 strokes per hole?

I was hoping that he'll try to improve by changing the analog settings or whatever he feel like that he could improve the GTG series without using the ridicicious analog default setting. I'm pretty sure that if you use the trackball with the mame default setting is no where near the arcade settings. Just my opinion.

Oh Well! I just missed out Gerhard showing the pix of the wrong score, before I said something about it.

I tried the second recording listed and it played back fine and the score was correct.

I confirmed it.

I won't bother with the rest because it takes so long.

But I agree with you, Welby's scoring is bad ;
Watching these inputs sucks but I will edit all correct scores if you give me number of strokes.

Well, I'm surprised to see this topic...not really. I replied to Gerhard's private email about this last night! I agreed with him for the first 4or5 gt scores submitted...I couldn't get the controller options to accept mouse input, so I played them with joystick..max range of 96yards, but after reinstalling wm94, options are working...and I told him that I'll be uploading replacements for those inp's...no need to confirm as the first ones are indeed crap due to the special rules...why not make the rules be: 200- actual game score= score? Much less possibility for confusion as I wrongly assumed the game was counting for me at the end. I guess we should consider limiting the # of first places attributed to a ranking from clones/parent roms to 1 score per title...position on the leaderboard means absolutely nothing if 50 first place scores come from one game vs 50 firsts from all unique titles. I guess I'll spend some more time playing those boring games again, but now instead of just making an entry for each parent and one clone, I'll submit entries for all of the gt's and their clones(sorry for the confirmers...they are slow and boring)
Yet another idea, archive gt and all betting games(there's no skill in getting lucky with a random # generator either). I'm not trying to be an angry ass, but to read this less than 6/7hours after replying to GS's private email does piss me off...ie: guten ticked :D

I stand corrected.

I did think that it was 200-score over par. I guess the unusual magnitude of the numbers confused me.

Don't try and blame the rest of this crap on me though.

"sorry welby but you pissed you off. "
well, not really; you did that Gerhard by creating this topic prior to contacting me.

"and now we know, that another people played for you and you loaded it up (these 146 round, because this guy had a cmplete other game style and wasn't able to play like you!) "
Huh???? There is not one single score uploaded by me that was not played by me...those first gt inps were played with joystick only...so there was no style, just swinging the stick till it went in(max 96yard range w/driver sucked). The most recent one, like I said earlier is using a mouse, which was not available in the options screen for me when I first installed wolf94, but now works fine after reinstall.
The only reason I'm pissed is that this topic was started prior to GS or anyone confirming the inps notified me about the ERROR...and I was unsure if I'd scored it correctly, which is why I put a detailed description of how I calculated the score on my first entry for the gt series...I'm sure this is not the only 'mistakenly' confirmed inp on marp...all of the earliest inps are questionable in my book due to the insecurity of non-wolfmame versions.
Oh, and by the way, it is not possible to score less than 20 pts using this special scoring system, because the gt games limit you to 10 strokes per hole=180strokes max in any game.
