For me, Lordaxe replay gets to stage 2, but then fails.

Your replace also fails on stage 2.

I replayed using these option but no better:
mamew159.exe puzzli2 -playback a.inp -sound none -nvram_directory NUL -noafs - fs 0

LordAxe: 71800 at end of stage 1, 79800 to end stage 2.
Phil: 86800 at end of stage 1, 111000 to end stage 2. Tried in 0.157 & 0.158.

Fordy's plays back fine in 0.157 (I didn't have 0.158 downloaded):

I think -noafs -fs 0 could work only if input has been also recorded with this option.
Let's try this one, I've recorded -noafs -fs 0 :

(note that I've reached 940k+ but when you enter initials it's for the score you have at last win ...)

I was able to play back the 'stage 11' replay on here, but none of the others.

I don't know if it has something to do with the RTC or something else, would be nice if somebody could get to the bottom and come up with a real fix :/

That's what I was afraid of ...
I hope someone can find a way to fix this pb problem

Sorry, never had issues with Dodonpachi Dai Ou Jou, only Dodonpachi II. Espgaluda and Ketsui are also fine. I don't remember having any issues with Knights of Valour either, although it's been a looooong time since I lasted looked at that.

As requested by Phil, I tried to playback his puzzli2 inp. It fully works, but the final score is 788400, not 795400:

This one definitely doesn't playback for me, either with a native 64-bit Linux build, or the 32-bit Windows binary (run via Wine). Fails on stage 1, both builds behave the same way.

RTC also reports the date and time that the recording was created, so that is working as it should be.

Phil, Vaz, one question, do your romsets (puzzli2.zip or puzzli2s.zip) contain puzzli2_igs027a.bin? Sometimes having fake ROM dumps can affect emulation (depending on the driver).

No my rom doesn't contain this file, I have the same message than Chad when launching the game.

No, I don't.

puzzli2 : puzzli2_igs027a.bin (16384 bytes) - NOT FOUND - NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN

FYI, I tested Phil's inp using WolfMAME 0.158 with M+GUI 1.6.0 on Win7 32-bit.

Windows XP 32-bit SP3 running inside a VirtualBox VM.
Fails to get past the first stage (with -fs 0 -noafs) for me.

I get the same warning as others:

puzzli2_igs027a.bin NOT FOUND (NO GOOD DUMP KNOWN) (tried in puzzli2s puzzli2 pg
m puzzli2s)

puzzli2s.zip doesn't exist on my system anyway.
