I uploaded my actual score. I'm counting frames from the time the character appears to the time the "You Made it !! Stage 3 Clear" appears. Please tell me if it's ok. :)

Here's my first attempt. Things are getting busy here, so I may not make a recording for every round but we'll see what happens.

How are you guys capturing the correct frame during the playback as they go by so fast for me I find it hard to accurately get the correct frame number to do the score calculation?

Cheers,
BeeJay.

You show the framecounter by pressing F11 anytime; P to pause; when in pause SHIFT-P advance frame-by-frame.
During the replay you can press F10 and F8 to speed up to the end of your inp, then F10 and F9 to come back to nominal speed.

The method I use to calculate the framecount is from appearance of the character (blinking yellow from under the mothership) to the beginning of the explosion of the last defeated boss.
Some minor error (+/- 2 frame) could happen in my evaluation, I'll re-check final positions when too near (within 15 frames) to be sure.

After some days of scoreboard updating I can say that the most important information for me is the completed stage comment.

First game downloaded with stage 3 finished.
I am not sure for the number of frame, nor the way to count it.
I used F11 and I suppose it is something like 20729 frames (21197-468).

That's the bit I was missing, how to step frame by frame. :)

New recording attached with a faster clearance of Stage 2.

10880 - 431 = 10449

Assuming I got the timing correct from the first appearance of the man from under the ship until the frame where the end of the 2nd stage stats is first displayed.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

Crono256's inp advertised 374170 plays back to 438400 points
the framecount was almost ok for TT purposes

I'm GMT-3, but DST is in effect now, so I am with "GMT-2".
It's 10:49PM here, but this post is stamped 11:19PM (I'm logged in), so forum is showing 30 minutes in advance of my real time. Please confirm if it's happening with other players too.
It may be confused with the deadline if submitted here in the forum.

Edit: and comparing forum time with this site ( http://24timezones.com/ ), forum is 31 or 32 minutes in advance.
yeah, not sure what's up with that. It shows about 30 minutes behind for me, but we're still on daylight savings time until this weekend. (my clock says 6:50pm, forum says 6:21pm)

Gonna submit this, so I at least have an entry in. Haven't killed the 2nd boss yet (well, I did in one game, but died at the same time, so it didn't count it #-o ). Start frame 496, end frame 4684, total 4188.
What kind of controllers are you guys using? Seems to be hard with my laptop keyboard ;) Wish I still had a MAME cab (I re-converted it back to a JAMMA cab)

I find that 2nd boss very frustrating as you don't seem to be doing it any damage for ages..... no visual clues much that I can see...... also bombing the daylights out of it doesn't seem to kill it very quickly either even if you hit it with 6 bombs in quick succession?!?
