(1..2...1,2,3,4)
Shed a tear 'cause I'm missing you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt you're in my heart now
Said woman take it slow
It'll work itself out fine
All we need is just a little patience
Said sugar make it slow
And we'll come together fine
All we need is just a little patience
(inhale) Patience...
Ooh, oh, yeah

Sit here on the stairs
'Cause I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait dear
Sometimes, I get so tense
But I can't speed up the time
But you know, love, there's one more thing to consider
Said woman take it slow
Things will be just fine
You and I'll just use a little patience
Said sugar take the time
'Cause the lights are shining bright
You and I've got what it takes to make it
We won't fake it, Oh never break it
'Cause I can't take it

...little patience, mm yeah, ooh yeah,
Need a little patience, yeah
Just a little patience, yeah
Some more pati... (ence, yeah)
I've been walking these streets at night
Just trying to get it right (Need some patience, yeah)
It's hard to see with so many around
You know I don't like being stuck in a crowd (Could use some patience, yeah)
And the streets don't change but maybe the name
I ain't got time for the game
'Cause I need you (Patience, yeah)
Yeah, yeah well I need you
Oh, I need you (Take some patience)
Whoa, I need you (Just a little patience is all we need)
Ooh, this ti- me....

Patience, dude, patience.

I have to add everything by hand for this release, due to some core changes a few versions back. There are still a few bugs to work out, although it is in a (more or less) working state.

EDIT: Are we happy now? :P

If that was directed at me, it should be noted that when I started this thread, I had just seen that MAMEplus was available, and was still under the assumption that WolfMAME would be released almost immediately consequent (hence the "tic tic tic...") and so no lack of patience should have been inferred. My main reason for posting was to make sure that you were aware that MAMEplus was available. (It seemed faster than normal to me.)

I guess that means a few updates back? Not something that happened prior to .99 apparently.

I can already hear the TG people. "OMG, bugs to work out? Oh well, maybe .101 will be perfect."

Heh, probably, I hope this one is used though. I think there should be less concern about which version to jump on, and more about writting a program similar to analinp. It's not like there's huge security holes and bugs being fixed from one release to the other.

While saving wolfmame .100 I get this error: "Windows was unable to save all the data for the file D:\mame\mameip100lib.dll. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere."

This is a balloon that appears on my task bar and I'm not able to get rid of it (I try closing it but it keeps reappearing), but after a while it goes away. One thing I tried was saving the files to another folder, but when I copy them back to my MAME folder it gives me the same error. Also I can't execute the GUI, it's saying "mame32ip100.exe is not a valid Win32 application".

Just wondering, am I the only one experiencing this error?

Works fine here.

You might try deleting it, clearing all temporary internet files and such, then downloading again.

Yes, this initially happened during extraction. After this happened, even after going back to playing games with wolfmame32 .99, some files like the mame.ini, and inp files weren't saving to the hard disk, and the GUI layout with # times played, default columns, folders, colors, etc. were gone. When I was playing in a "window" it was now full screen.

I have two hard drives, one with all the Mame stuff and the other has hardly anything (just my Windows programs). I'm trying to copy the data from one to the other, but now I'm having trouble reading the first drive when it gets to the mame folder and its subfolders. I don't want to believe the new wolfmame cause the whole hard drive to be corrupt but it's hard to believe that this was a coincidence, this disk suddenly going bad.

That would kind of require you to run it first before the problems occured...
You could download a copy of 7-zip and see if the archive itself isn't corrupt.

Code: Select all

After copying most of the Mame data to the newer hard drive, I reran the Wolfmame .100 again and it didn't give me a problem. In fact, one game I've played a lot lately (Emeraldia) looks a lot smoother than before. I'll just keep it over there now.
I'll reformat that older drive but I'll just dump the other things I have back over there.
