Not really, is true that the credit time is longer in real play (10min more) but I'm not more tired. When I play on pcb, I can make little pause between leeching lives (go to toilet. smoke cigarettes...) because I use autofire lock... :D

ben.shinobi wrote:Yes is true but you could easily ask the same question to Syno...
I think he only found one big secret (that maybe nobody have found) that I don't show in my last inp. This secret is not reveal at the moment simply because we work on it at the moment. Don't worry Des, every shinobi players will know very soon...
Why?
I have told you his reason already.
And now, whether he has the secret is your mere assumption.

Really, and you have more time in day for more tries.

Why an old version of MAME where the romset is different? :( (or at least, whatever I have doesn't seem to work...)

847.430 pts : http://benjamin.bouloch.free.fr/shinobi ... s086u3.zip
Almost perfect patterns I know on every stages (all 1k pts hostage). For higher score, it must use Lobster secret (4-4) but I don't find any safe pattern.

Thanks a lot man !!
Please give me your advice about patterns used. If you see something I can improve, please tell me !! I'm sure that you have different leeching patterns ? especially about 5-1, I'm still wondering if it's the best possible patterns ? About Lobster, (4-4), I can't find safe pattern for special bonus.

No pattern for Lobster yet?
I got safe one to around 40-50 shoots but it's really hard to count em unless i monitor their address in cheat engine with W.

Here what i do to get to 40-50 shoots. Might eventually make a video clip if you can't do it but i doubt.

Upon start fire 7-10 shoots and stop holding the stick Up. Holding up is vital cos boss charges straight towards u and pushes u back, if you don't hold up you get stabbed by sword. But if you do hold up you avoid the sword somehow :) that's 100% to start the boss everytime.
Then he withdraws backwards you can still fire shurikens on him, the boss charges two times towards you and swings with swords. Those 2 times you can avoid the sword by just jump before it swings-that's also 100%. After every swing he withdraws back few steps you can use the time to fire shurikens, you can even shoot him when he charges towards you but don't shoot when you jump. Cos if you hit im in the head the pattern is lost and he starts charging towards you pushes you back and kills you(lever up) won't save this time :).
So if you do all correct after initial charge and 2 swing charges you will get to around 40-50 shoots. So far this is 100% safe and then i got stuck and can't find safe way to continue.
I even managed to jump over it few times but its very tricky timing and it's not 100% and running away from him and counting shots is very hard...

I've worked this morning on the Lobster pattern. I've found this:
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxtnq4 ... videogames

This is very risky but I almost sure that Syno use this pattern for his last Arcadia score.
To be sure that Musashi goes through Lobster, perfect timing is required. Most important thing is distance between musashi and Lobster when you hit his head. I've tried with save and is possible to get the pattern every time if timing is correct. I'm sure that I can beat Arcadia's Syno score but I work on many other games now.

Maybe Syno could share something about the Lobster pattern ?

Very nice find Ben, i tested with part of my pattern and i managed to get the 20.000 bonus, but i used magic.

Maybe if i find software i'll make little clip and show here.

In short i jump over Lobster while I'm on the left side and then i go to right corner, then
instead of depending on timing the shot i use magic right when lobster is near me.
Magic pushes him back to the distance needed to charge you and fall bellow that's 100%.

I score around 5000 pts less, but im using cheats to monitor the shuriken count .
Yet it involves a bit of luck...
