Here's a test version of a simple GUI I wrote over a few days in Tcl/Tk. Run it from the same folder that MAME/WolfMAME is in, and it should work fine.
Windows users will need a Tcl/Tk interpreter installed. ActiveTcl should do the job fine. http://www.activestate.com/activetcl/downloads
Users of Unix-based OSes (including Linux and OS X) will likely already have Tcl/Tk installed.
