ok,

i've put up a new high score for
hang-on jr....

----------------------
1st
Hang-On Jr.

638,910

1 man .. / this is not a JUNIOR version, its very hard..almost made it to end of stage 4 .. / no .NVRAM file, but use no sound to playback .. / used logitech wingman for movement+accelerate
------------------------

but dont be fooled by the name,

its VERY HARD..in fact, i haven't gotten past
stage 4 yet..and the settings are already on
the easiest..i can't imagine what the harder
ones are like!

1 bump or crash, and its game O V E R...

also..

does anyone play hang-on, or super hang-on?

i've noticed some sprite problems in super hang-on,
when you don't move, you're invisible....this is
referring to the WIN61 version....

i think all the other replays are from mame36, and win36..

are there any current versions that play correctly?

thanks..

Answering the 'problems' in Super Hang On, the game only works (correctly) in older MAME versions. Currently, they are rewriting the System 16 driver, so somethings don't work all 100% still. (do I have the right driver?) "2006"

I think you have to play it with mame 36 final or earlier.

Super Hangon and Outrun my favorite racing games.
I suck on Hangon and Hangonjr. I don´t like them so much.

I see the exact same thing for those games in version 60.

I'll have to try an older version as noted above to see if it's ok there. It is hard to play when you can't see your guy except in turns...plus parts of the environment also aren't drawn.

FINALLY got past the novice stage..

geez, is this game HARD!

i switched controls to have accelerate/decelerate to
the buttons (instead of joystick up/down)..

details
--------
1st Hang-On Jr.

1 man .. / this is not a JUNIOR version, its very hard..finally got to past novice level (and nearly crashed on last stage)..then got to level 8 .. / no .NVRAM file, but use no sound to playback .. / used logitech wingman for movement+accelerate, changed accelerate/decelerate to buttons

----

qrs, you should try this or hang-on (i still can't finish that
either)..

the ai logic for the bikes is easier than 'super hang-on'..
although the gameplay is slower..
