Oasis shirt in the crowd
Stevens's hair
Uuuuuhhh...suit you sir...suit you, uuuuhhhh.

Your bet looks pretty good now. A great last session for Ken. Fu will be next victim.
I'm hoping for Sullivan-Murphy final, that should be interesting playwise.
I'd like to see Doherty do well too, he's most likable player of the lot.

Stephen Lee gets my vote for worst haircut. What was he thinking???

Oh, I sent in a query to the BBC team via the BBC website, so stay tuned to BBC coverage to see if I get some airtime. Most original questions get aired, and mine is original.
More later....snooker is back on in 10 minutes. Must get beer.....

Good stuff from Ronnie ok. What about that mis-cue on the pink? Ouch!

Nah, question wasn't aired. They do all that kind of stuff during the intervals in the afternoon. Actually it's usually very good and funny with Steve Davis and John Parrot answering questions from the public and basically joking around.
My question was as follows. I'm a fan of English indie group Half Man Half Biscuit. In the late 80's they did a song called 'The Len Ganley Stance'. My friend insists that the BBC did a tribute piece to the great man using that song in the background. I've never seen or heard of this, so I mailed the team at the BBC to see if there's any truth to that.
Hopefully will get a reply by mail, or indeed, some air time. They did say that due to the volume of mails they get, it could take days to be answered. Blah...back in work tomorrow for the next four days, so I could miss it. Hopefully will be on today.......

Coverage starts on BBC at 1.30pm. Eurosport has more coverage time. The bastards removed Eurosport from our cable service a few years back due to complaints about too much naff sporting events. I miss the ski-jumping actually. Hmph....

Too bad for Ken. On the other hand Marco's mother Kung will be very happy. Hope Ronnie will not be Fu'ed up in the final.
8-[

What a beautiful clearance from Ronnie at 11-11 against Williams, smooth touch.

Well after fighting to stay awake after the first couple of sessions, the final sessions made a great final out of it.
Fair play to Ebdon. And what kills it for me is that Dott is a mega-staunch Glagcow Rangers fan and will most likely parade the trophy around Ibrox.

"Everybody's doing the Len Ganley Stance,
everybody's doing the Len Ganley Stance,

Praise the Lord you all look so beautiful,
bulging waistcoats, thirty inch of neck.
Shine your shoes and head for the Crucible,
brush the baize, and keep the crowd in check....

Everybody's doing the Len Ganley Stance...."
Ad lib to fade.....

Two years in a row the champion has won hes first ever tournament at worlds, strange.
I have a bit mixed feelings about the champion. Assumably Dott did play most consistent afterall and deserved it.
I'm really impressed how often and consistently Ebdon hits slow paced angled dragshots. Impressed with Dott's....longpo...techni...breakbu...ummm...FIGHTING SPIRIT. Yeah :)

1977 World champion. The man who brought deep screw into the game.

Didn't realize he was 71.

Amazing stuff from O'Sullivan today, and luckily it's being shown on an Irish language station over here, TG4.

A friend was witnessing Alex's exhibition match in Finland in the early nineties. He said that during the 15 minute interwall he drank something like 3 pints of beer....
At Finnish open, in the nineties, Alex was playing couple tables away where I was losing to this fat Finnish guy. He did a century there. He lost at semis or quarters to Mark King. Next year this rising star called Peter Ebdon took the trophy.
