I'll say this...

...for the many that played pacmania and claimed they hate the game...the scores were quite high.

wuzel's is good enough to be second at MARP.

I would think for the head-2-head you could have just sat on your score not submitting anything until the last hour or so....so then your opponent has no idea where their scores stand.

Plus given pacmania is patterned...they could just watch your inp and copy what you did...although if you didn't run set patterns I guess it wouldn't matter much.

we spend all last week finding patterns for each stage
we kept our inps in secret (althought i made mine in last hour of the round) just because they are the patterns inps
look at the (as qrs said) zookeeping jump at stage 3 - thats a piece of art
thats why i was so affraid 2 post my inps just 2 prevent them of being copied

qrs was very good but the clue was points and 7650 ghost not far stages :)

it was a good (and i think clean) fight
i never played this game before trust me and i still hate it :)

thx trust me last week was a total disaster - i was rude and angry but i had a dream 2 be in last 4 and ive made it!!

im happy but i dont like the knocuout formula :(

so many good players and people are out
lokk at it that way - one good game (like mine) and im in and qrs is out - it very painful

BTW: Pacmania is a great game when is see the next round game :(

Yea, I'm 15. It's not an old man's game, it's just not that great of a game.

Holding back scores in secret until the last minute is just lame. I will never do that, I will rather lose instead. Even if it is legal, it destroys the nice concept about a tourney if you ask me.

Just my opinion.

Haha no, I don´t need to do that. I´m not saying that you did anything wrong. My above post was just my thought about holding back scores in general. Nothing against anyone in this tourney. Just my opinion in general.

Like me in K2 :(

But i think this is funny aspect of head-2-head game.
No so good if your opponent is holding his scores, maybe we can modify rules to motivate people to submit, im thinking about something like this: 1 point for every day when you lead competition (ie if you have highest score at 23:59:59 of the day)
3 points if you won the game

So if you start to submit sunday you can won by 9-0, if you send only one input saturday you lost 6-3

What about a Mame-League with head-2-head games ?

Well, you could give your current score here in the forum. I meant don't submit your inp til the last hour or so cuz as mentioned above pacmania is a patterned game. if someone made an entire pattern for certain boards then others could watch their inp and just learn and run that exact same pattern. THAT is what would be very lame.

That's really what I meant above....not hiding the scores but preventing others from watching your patterns early enough where they would get to watch it over and over to learn the patterns then just run them themselves.

Plus, even if you have patterns...the game isn't that boring cuz it's not like pacman where you will be running 9th key patterns for 4 hours.

Based on the records for pacmania no one has developed patterns for all the boards....not sure how many there even are. I think the game ends after 21 boards or something like that.
