To be in the top xx is much more exciting than playing against only one opponent. And when a player makes a very good score, it's not rare to see his opponent letting down (usually no score uploaded).
The actual tourney is a perfect example : all players were very excited at the beginning (massive uploads), end of tourney isn't really exciting to watch : 2 last weeks without real fight between 2 guys.
Totally agree with Phil, i prefered the system of the K4 where i played it's really more exciting than play against one opponent because when you meet des, pat or another very good player in the new system, you often discourage yourself.
And like always, i disagreed when players submit their score the last day...

"-HAVE FUN! That's what we play games for, to have fun, right? Don't get TOO caught up in the competition and start verbally abusing other players, either in your score comments or on the forums. Nobody likes a bad sport."
Are you sure that every player is fair?
Bye the way... to "force" players to play DAILY, can discourage a lot of player to participate on the competition. Like I already said, I generally play strenght only 2 days by week.
For me daily knows every day. For bonus is no daily score, submit score at 3rd and 6th day only. It is fair that player get bonus for show how to play, no hidding methods. Then you have easier work when you watch this replay and when you have 2 days for playing only.
You can copy his pattern and beat him. Is it fair?
aorry to hear about your sitatuation des - i know what how you feel mate.
i m here for you and with you.
write me anytime
ps: i want to play - when will be another chance?
TG Deca will be from 1st May till 31th of July.
Knock Out will come later, that is sure.
I ask to myself: too many contests are a good thing for MAME players ?
Will we have in the future a real World Championship for MAME players?
And more: will some Japanese players partecipate at next K.O. or are they afraid ?
I hope someone will write his point of view
If nobody is planning something very soon, I can start next WCC very quickly (february / march).
Other coordinators, let me know if you plan something on these monthes.
If not I will probably go on.
Maybe too much tourneys, I don't know, but I like every form of it.
Too bad sometimes I miss enough time to play them.

No news about Jason, so I'm planning to start WCC very soon, as I'm not here in July/August and next tourneys will be after.
Opinions ? someone against ?
