Super Pang - 'Whoring' technique???

Post by Barra »

In the game Super Pang, Panic Mode, is the technique of getting 100k after not shooting any bubbles for 30 seconds banned for whoring?

Not that I am aware of... unless you can provide a reason that it should be.

Win 100.000 Points In Panic Mode : If you go without shooting anything for the amount of time it takes for the background song to repeat, you will automatically get 100.000 points, but the speed of the balls will suddenly become extremely fast.
I'd allow it.

Na I want it to go ahead.
Its just I compete in an online gaming thing, this game has come up and theres speculation whether it should be allowed.
The admins of the site made the decision for it to be banned when submitting scores.
I tried to argue saying that it was intentionally made by the people behind Super Pang and that MARP allows it .......

we are against leeching (getting points cheaply), but if the leeching is hard to do (like i think this pang example is) it's normally allowed at marp. it's certainly "acceptable" to disallow techniques like this to just mix the game up, and make the leechers actually play...

plus...isn't this 100k bonus part of the game for not shooting anything for that 30 seconds?

all players can potentially do it...so there is nothing gained of one versus the other players....so no reason not to allow it.

if it takes great skill to accomplish...then that's even better...as it will further separate the masters from the pretenders.

If you can survive the fast balls after getting the 100k bonus, you really deserve the extra points :)

I can't see why this should not be allowed.

Exactly what I think.
Just that it is a part of the game, made by the people of Super Pang....

Yeah. You get 100k points, but the game speeds up, making it very much harder. Your choice.

Why the bootleg version (spangbl) it hasn't been splitted into the two Tour Mode (spangbl-tm) and Panic Mode (spangbl-tm) ...?! Just missed, I guess....

spangbl-pm "Super Pang (World 900914, bootleg) [Panic Mode]"
spangbl-tm "Super Pang (World 900914, bootleg) [Tour Mode]"

Now split... I always welcome suggestions. :)
