CrazyJim's Pigskin 621 A.D. recording

Post by Tickenest »

I was amazed to see someone destroy my long-standing high score on Pigskin 621 A.D. (can you tell I'm proud of it? 8) ) but he used more than one credit (full game, it seems), so someone please correct his score? It was 14-13 after 2 minutes, which is the usual length of time for a credit. Thanks.

done, i was a little confused that jims recording started at 4:00 and the older versions started at 3:30 (must have been max credits) but you are definitley allowed only 2 minutes per credit with this game (untill the rules change by votes of course)

I've switched it to 27, based on what GB9 told me, for a one-credit score. I haven't looked at it myself, but I might need to investigate it further.

No I think Tickenest is right - 14 is the score - I did 2 1/2 minutes / credit, not 2 - my bad. :(

Would it be possible that Crazy Jim has also used 2 credits (and so 7 lives instead of 3) to do 224000 on omegrace ?

I don't manage to playback his inp correctly ... is someone luckier than me ?

NVRAM don't matter none in Omega Race. (yeah - so I used a double negative - I just woke up! :) )

Yeah - it'd probably be better to use MAME 35 here.

I thought you played a full game on advanced mode. I remade a new game that got more points asap, but its no 100 points. I don't think I want to shoot for that :P

Omega race, I did in only 3 lives. I deleted my nvram directory like skito dude said. I wish people could watch the replays because I play wreckless on that game :) I find it entertaining because all elements in the game can be hammered down, and no suprises occur, but its still very challenging... Mostly I do alot of backwards flying and shooting the spinny psycho droid with flanking shots as it comes around the corner.

It plays back fine on mame 32 version .59... Do other people have trouble playing it back? I left sound on, and I like I said, deleted nvram directory.

hmm, maybe it's a sound frequency issue, but i doubt you modified the sound from the default mame32 options? what does your sound page look like 44khz? 22khz?
