roncli's mspacman recording
I'm afraid I can't confirm this one:
a. It uses invalid DIP settings (you must use the champion edition (untraditional mazes) by default, you used super lola gal (traditional mazes))
b. You also used the speedup cheat. I think that's down the lines of the game having to be split. Hopefully Pat will do the honors, please.

oop - you're right. Sorry Pat - throw out the speedup cheat for that one.
But there's still the issue of using incorrect DIP settings.

Suggestion
Sorry, I've been away on family business, otherwise I would've read this sooner.
The DIP switch setting that was changed was "Game", it is set at "Super Zola Pac Gal" in my recording. The difference is that in the Champion Edition, you have the new boards in a different order, and in the Super Zola Pac Gal version is basically the normal Ms. Pac Man game. Both games are timed (1 minute) and by default move at "Speedup cheat" or faster. (I haven't figured out why Ms. Pac Man is approximately "Speedup cheat" speed sometimes, and "Way beyond speedup cheat" speed others, but that's another topic for another time.) They are essentially two separate games. The two versions have a different maze set altogether, and is different from other clones because of both the speed increase and the timer (I almost blew it on the 10th level of the recording in question! ).
Thus, I'd like to propose to split mschamp.
mschamp-champ - Ms. Pacman Champion Edition / Super Zola Pac Gal [Champion Edition] - Default settings
mschamp-zola - Ms. Pacman Champion Edition / Super Zola Pac Gal [Super Zola Pac Gal] - Game DIP Switch set to Super Zola Pac Gal
My recording would then go under mschamp-zola, while existing recordings (along with one I'll be making in the near future [edit]240K! [/edit]) would go under mschamp-champ.
mschamp-fast is not needed, because there is no speedup dip switch. I can't speak for the other two games off the top of my head, I'd have to scour those roms when I get home from work.
Thanx for bringing this up, GB, I was unaware what "default settings" were, and probably had already changed the DIP switch long before I discovered MARP.

mschamp split will not be allowed
I am going to have to deny your request to split mschamp for the following reasons:
- I really don't think we should start splitting games based on dip switch settings. This is not intuitive and makes an unnecessary exception.
- If mschamp actually presented a selection screen: Champ Edition & Super Zola Pac Gal, then it would be OK, but it DOES NOT
- People are more likely to play the default game and not the "other" option. Furthermore, if Zola is just like Ms. Pacman, play the REAL one instead!

Was worth a shot
It was a proposal more than it was a request, and I did outline the two main differences between Zola & the regular version. But no problem, I can move the existing recording to the deleted bin and upload the one I made tonight under default settings. Thanx for looking into it.
