TOURNAMENT 6 - TIME TO VOTE FOR GAMES

Post by lagavulin »

VOTING PERIOD : From 13th january to 26th january

RULES :

1 ) Anybody registered with MARP can pick up to three (3) games among all the available games for the mame62 versions.

2 ) Your vote is public so that you can see what games have already been chosen. You don't need to vote for a game you like if it's already voted for ! It's useless : a game with multiple votes has NOT more chances to be selected than a game voted once !.
You MUST vote here in THIS thread.

3 ) According to previous MARP Tournaments rules, games used in regular tournaments 2,3,4,5 can't be selected but games used in 1st tournament can be selected. More, I add another rule here : You can't select games used in knockout tournaments 1,2, in Olympiad 1, and in WCC 1,2. If someone votes for one of these games, it will be immediately deleted from the list of games preselected.

COMMENTS

1 ) You can choose your games in the categories you want : if it's your choice, feel free to vote for 3 fighters ! But I think it would be better if everyone votes for 3 games in 3 different categories. It's not a rule, it's a personal wish :)

2 ) To help me, I would like you to precise with your vote the category of each game you choose. You will select the category in the following list : fighter, maze, platform, puzzle, racing, shooter, sports, other games ( breakout, pinball, cards, ... ).

3 ) Finally, don't forget we'll use alphamame ( mame62 ) : so try to avoid too "heavy" games, too difficult to play with slow computers. I will probably reject these games.

Now, you can vote ! If you want, use this format that you can copy-paste :

---

Here are my votes :

Game 1 ( category )
Game 2 ( category )
Game 3 ( category )

Your name ( current pseudo registered with MARP )

---

Thanks for your attention.

Could you or someone else post a list of the games which can't be selected (games that were played in previous tournaments)? That would make the selecting process much easier.

Question: If a certain game was played in previous tournament, can I select a different clone of that game or is it considered the same game?

Argh... I wanted to play with my Wonderboy [and so did Anders] but it's gone.. sigh... I'd say Rad Racer PC-10.... except the controls are messed up [it won't let me go up and left simultaneously... and you have to hold up to accelerate to super speed.... yet you can do that up and right without a problem....... ]

Hmm... so many games.. so little time... THANK GOD "TRACK N FUCK YOUR KEYBOARD UP" isn't allowed! [or it's evil friends/clones]

Black Tiger [Scroller Fun]
Magic Sword - Heroic Fantasy [yeah yeah... but I also wrote a guide for it
so I got a bit of a want to show some skill]
19xx - The War Against Destiny [Shooter, for variety]

Well at the least, 3 games I want to improve on and I think are fun enough to try to improve on. :)
Just a gaming junkie looking for his next High Score fix.

Shock Troopers
Land Sea Air Squad
Chimera Beast

all three are "shooters", but Shock Troopers and LSA Squad aren't quite the same style of shooter as Chimera Beast... so, um, yeah. None of my nominations ever make it in but I might as well try!
