win37b1 through 4 cycle *NOTE* no mame32.37b1, 2, or 3 was ever released, meaning these were recorded on unofficial versions. they have accordingly been checked with the closest version in the development cycle, mame32v.37b4. if you are checking these and capable, please try with equivalent dos version instead. if they play back, please annotate the description line with whatever version you used. some of these i've checked with multiple versions, but ensuring playback is the responsibility of the recorder.

Sorry, completely OT

Yeah, Tomas Milian made some badass movies! I just love them (and italian "b-movies" in general)! Kale, do you know what happened to him? Is he still acting/alive?

I'm almost sure he's still acting....I guess I saw him in a movie recently, but need to squeeze my mind to get out the title....
What I can tell you, and I guess Kale will agree, is that Thomas Milian used to act in those b and trash movies although he's known to be a good actor...and in fact, he's now acting in more "serious" movies and roles...

Cool, if he's still acting. He must be over 70 years old by now.. Yeah, I've heard that many great american actors who couldn't get a job in their home country came to Italy to act in those b-movies (those were the days!)... I'm not sure if that's the case with Milian though...

Yes, he was in "Traffic", playing the part of General Arturo Salazar. He's also still acting, too, with another movie coming out next year.

Well, I have tried to go through the 0.36 cycle at least. It looks like quite a few of these games was recorded in another version. Magix wasn't even added until 0.37b3 for example. I tested most of them in 0.37b4 too.

Terraf, terrafu and thndrx2 behave a little wierd. Mame32 seems to stop playing the game back after a few seconds and the watcher regains control. Perhaps a result of playing them back with the wrong version. Anyone have a clue?

I could confirm some of them. It would be nice if the settings I used could be added to the descriptions for future use.

Here are the results of the swedish jury:
(in the order I found them in the original post)

bermudao - resets at 12000-something
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

smashtv4 - ok with fskp 0 and directsound, no F10, confirmed
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

smashtv5 - ok with fskp 0, directsound and default nvram, recorded 07 Apr 00, before nvram was banned
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

smashtv6 - ok with fskp 0 and directsound, no F10, confirmed
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

1941 - 88300, no matter what settings I use. Tried both 0.36 and 0.37b4
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

growl - desyncs
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

growlu - desyncs
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

captcomj - desyncs
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

marvland - inserts coin, but never pushes 1p-button, even with default nvram
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

4dwarrio - desyncs
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

terraf - never starts game
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

terrafu - never starts game, looks broken in both 0.36 and 0.37b4
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

thndrx2 - starts game with default nvram, but the playback stops a few seconds into the game and the watcher regains control
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

ultraman - 14 000 , desyncs
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

magix - plays back fine in mame32 0.37b4 with current (0.72) romset. :? Wasn't added until 0.37b3
http://marp.retrogames.com/index.cgi?mo ... 00&tourn=0

berabohm - can't find old romset, so I haven't tested this one

apb2 - game never starts

thanks, Abbe. i've updated the main audit--would be nice if one of the Editors could annotate the appropriate smashtv4,5,6 and magix.inps

i've also listed a number of score changes and deletions at the bottom of the audit.
