Wolfmame replay bounties

Post by zlk »

I have decided to post some cash bounties. Here are the rules:

1) The replays must be made with Wolfmame version 99 or newer. You must use the default M68k C-core. I also have to be able to get the inp to playback. I am not eligible for my own bounties. If I make any replays that would have won a bounty, it does not matter. The bounty is still available until someone else submits a recording satisfying the requirements of that bounty.

2) All the normal rules of MARP apply. You must play the games with default settings. However, if a game has a dipswitch that lets you use autofire, you may turn it on. (for example you can hit f2 in donpachj to go to the test menu and turn autofire on) If you do use in-game autofire for the replay, please either post the replay here in this thread as an attachment, or post a link where I can download the replay from.

3) You can win two bounties with one single replay. For example if you finish both loops donpachj and score over 26,000,000 on the first loop you get $100.

4) I reserve the right to disqualify anyone, at any time, for any reason.

5) The bounties expire September 1st, 2006.

Here are the games and the bounties:

ROM: smashtv

a) Finish the game on one credit: $100

ROM: donpachj

f) Finish the first loop with the a-ship with a score of 26,000,000 points or higher: $50

g) Finish the first loop with the b-ship with a score of 26,000,000 points or higher: $50

h) Finish the first loop with the c-ship with a score of 26,000,000 points or higher: $50

ROM: ddonpach

i) Finish the game on one credit: $50

ROM: toobin

j) Finish the game on one credit: $50. You may use the first two warps to advance through the game.

ROM: zingzip

k) Clear the first two loops of the game: $50

ROM: tempest

m) Score over 2,000,000 points: $50

ROM: 720

n) Score over 450,000 points: $50

ROM: xevi3dg

o) Finish the game on one credit: $25

ROM: brvblade

p) Finish the game on one credit: $25

Good luck, you'll need it...... :D

Well, there's atleast one I've seen done, shouldn't be so hard. Not talking about 720.

That is unacceptable. Autofire is not allowed at MARP.

Autofire may not be allowed at marp, but as far as the bounties go I am allowing it if it can be turned on via a dip switch setting. The scores will just be zero'd as far as marp is concerned, but people can still watch the replays.

If anyone manages the Total Carnage bounty Robert also has one for that game running until Dec 31st.

Hmm, donpachj, I remember that game. I am a total bastard for flaking out on that one zlk, real life/Deca/those damn suicide bullets, but that's no excuse. If I try for it sometime I'll give back the bounty though since I said I would try previously.

Just wacthed BBH's Smash TV inp again and I must say I'd love to see someone finish it. Same goes for Total Carnage.

I would prefer autofire submissions not to be submitted to marp, even if they would get zeroed later.
Maybe they'd better be submitted at this thread, ok?

That is fine with me. I will make a note of it in my original post.

As far as I'm aware Toobin just loops forever after zone 3. I may be wrong, someone please correct me if I am?

No, it can be played to finish. And it is very doable on one credit, I've seen it done. As allways you're late for the Toobin shirt  :)

Yes, with continues I finished it, to learn the game. It is very doable... and if you remember your score is not important here, I think it is the easiest of the bounties.

TRB, if you're going for the Toobin bounty...notice that it's not allways best to use warp, you can gain extra men at early levels.

Thanks for correcting me there Tommi.

I don't know about it be very 'doable' and being the easiest. I've just played it through with continues and if someone does this all the way through on one credit then I'll take my hat off to them. Some of those later levels are pretty intense.

Des - There are 6 'classes' in all but I'm not sure how many levels there are in each class off the top of my head. I'll have to check.
