7-6, 4-6, 7-6, 2-6, 6-2

Early on fifth set Nadal had two breakpoints...twice.
many think it would have been Nadal's match if he had taken any of those four breakpoints. Instead he committed a couple of UE's there...And then went to lose his service game.

Nadal surprisingly didn't play the big points well: Breakpoints at fifth set or neither one of the tiebreaks he lost.

Roger did keep his cool and served extremely well, best I've seen from him.. Also played very close if not his max, imo. Nadal had 1 ace compared to Federer's 24...Yet in the end Roger had only won six more points than Rafa.
Federer was saved by his serve.
Nadal dominated the rallies.

So yes, it was extremely close.

Federer said Nadal deserved the title as much.
Becker said it was the greatest consistent quality of play in any singles match since 1980 Borg-McEnroe.

Here's a nice ad for "Yannick Noah Tennis"...As it was called in France. Actually it's a game better known as "Grand Slam Tennis" for "Emerson Arcadia 2001" home console system

Image

Yannick Noah, in the picture lol, is a French tennis player who won French Open in 1983.

He's now popular singer in France, and his son has been drafted by Chicago Bulls in NBA

Australia 2008
Little poem written today by a french player :
"Vamos, Rafa
a la casa"
JW Tsonga

Seriously, what a match !
Final will be very hard (Federer or Djokovic) but this match will stay for a very long time in my mind
