Second option.

A mí en principio me vienen bien estas fechas y podría jugar casi seguro, últimamente estoy muy vago para competir pero ya que lo organizas tú habrá que apuntarse :wink:

Un saludo máquina.

I went with the first one... but second option is OK too. Definitely would avoid the third option... as I was hoping that the MAME championships would be held at years-end from now on... but that's just my opinion, of course.

Hi guys. I voted for the second option, either option was fine for me, but I had to choose one.

A hug!

Hola chicos. He votado por la segunda opción, cualquiera de las opciones estaba bien para mi, pero tenia que elegir alguna. Además al amigo Phan le vienen mejor esas fechas :)

Un abrazo!!

I vote the second option.

The first option is too soon. It would be interesting, at least for me, to delay the beginning of the MARP tournament. Perhaps more players would have enough time to decide if join the tournament or not. Things are happening too fast. I would wait until 20 or 30 players confirmed and then I would propose the games to vote.
I bet a big percentage of MARP players haven't noticed yet.

I think all the votes should be public. Until now, 9 persons have voted but only 5 have posted.

Voted for the 3rd option (the only vote!), for a couple of reasons:
- the first option will overlap with the Tournament is about to start on Arcade-Extreme;
- better, in any case, stay home and play in fall/winter, rather than in spring/summer.... 8)

Cicca,
With all of the tournaments we're doing this year, I don't think we're going to have a choice but to overlap other tournaments this year. :( As examples...
1. I think that the TG Decathlon will get overlapped by this tournament as it's currently scheduled by majority votes.
2. I'm going to coordinate the HARP Championships sometime in June (the home console equivalent of the MAME championships), but I'm sure that'll be overlapped by the Week Challenge Championship here on MARP.
3. I think there's a SHUMPS forum tournament that will probably be overlapped by the MAME Olympiad in August.

Stinky as it is, I don't think we have much of a choice to overlap this year. :(

OK, I'm understanding your point, but if we place the tournament where you want it, when are we going to get in the MAME championships (which would overlap a bunch of other tournaments)? Just a thought...

I voted for option 1 but really it's not much different than option 2. I chose #1 because I know when the weather starts to get nice, I won't have nearly as much time (it's not like I have much now) to play games. The sooner it gets started, the sooner it gets done.

The TG DECA that is currently underway ends at the end of February so there is no worry of an overlap there.

Actually, the Deca2K11 ends Feburary 28th, 2011.. so.. HOLY CRAP 2 DAYS FROM NOW! x.x;;

I was aiming to hold another Mame event after the Kong Off, but I also knew it'd possibly coincide with a tournament here. Unfortunately it's impossible to make anything conflict free though. Ya just gotta cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Well then... I stand corrected. So I guess it turned out that my time trial overlapped the decathlon...

I'm afraid that you're correct here. :(
