I wonder how long it will stay NZ Number 1 and 2?

Still quite a couple of names from past tournaments missing here, hope everyone can join as this seems to be quite a large competition this year.

Eh, not quite my cup of tea or pint of beer - but whatever.
Let's rock - or at least, start training ;).

I did some upates in Players list, in these R1 thread, and in Official Rules too. Rules need some additions yet... I hope do it soon.

About the version, only 0.106 is accepted at this moment. Despite the R1 game ROMset is the same since 0.103u2 I will test this game a bit more tomorrow using 0.143, trying to get a better option for users of other operatinal systems. Of course, more testings are necessary in the other K9 games too...

Hi mahlemiut, Zhorik, Phil, Barthax... let me know if you can do some tests with this game using 0.143 version, because I can't run consistently until now... Some notes to share...

INP#1 - Barra sent me 73,163 - wolf143 - st1-3 - Win7 32bits (attachment)
INP#2 - mahlemiut 202,024 - wolf143 - K9. 3-2. [SDL, 64-bit]

PC#1 - I have a WinXP SP2 32bits
PC#2 - It's running Win7 64bits

Well, using the exact same ROMset and the same version (0.143 - wolfmame-0143.7z), I got:

INP#1 in PC#1: playbacks only for the score of 42180 (stage 1-2).
INP#1 in PC#2: playbacks OK.

INP#2 in PC#1: playbacks only for the score of 73159 (1st boss). However, only with throttle, most of the times it playbacks OK.
INP#2 in PC#2: playbacks only for the score of 73159 (1st boss), anyway.

Barra can't pb INP#2, ~72000, stage 1-x (probably the same 73159 I got).

Related to use -nosound as a tip for better playbacking, I'm not sure if it is useful only in the recording, or if I use -nosound only in playbacking would help, but I tried in all the playbacks, and I got the same results.

Other notes:

1 - Using the same ROMset, and comparing 0.106 with 0.143, I noted in the "Game Information" that the Sound processors have differences. Is it all right? Probably related only to the emulator advances.

2 - In demonstration mode, If I pause the game in exact the same frame, it stops at different position! I compared PC#2(0.143) vs PC#1(0.106). Also PC#2(0.143) vs PC#1(0.143), and there are differences too. Any relationship with 32 vs 64bits? Or XP vs Win7? Is it a problem to our current issue?

3 - In demonstration mode, in act 5-2 (about 6000 frames), there are differences between 0.106 and 0.143 (it looks like a dsync). Why?

Boys, these technical issues are for you... What to you think? Ideas? Suggestions? Opinions???

PS.: Barra, I think it's ok to share your INP, right?

Yes thats fine. I can provide a longer INP if needed
Just watched the 202k INP again and can confirm it stops at 1-3, score 73159. This was watching on my laptop using Win7, 64-bit

Cheers

Barra's INP plays back fine for me with default NVRAM. Try removing NVRAM before recording/playing back.

This game is very frustrating. It seems so easy yet I make simple mistakes all too often!

If you want simple mistakes you should watch my current replay 8O

This game demands a little bit more respect, it seems very easy but I think thats half the problem.

I haven't been able to do more than just check the game out but my 7 year old son absolutely loves this thing. He's already played it all the way through (with continues of course) and was on level 5 his second time through when I made him go to bed last night. I played a little two player with him just to try and get a feel for the game but if he keeps hogging the computer, I may never get a chance to play :)
