Space Ranger (Arcadia) - infinite leech

Post by Kale »

ar_sprg looks extremely broken scoring wise. Attached an inp that shows dumb infinite leeching (done with Wolf 0.242)

Note: current first place don't use aforementioned silly trick, but still do loads of leeching.

I'm not sure how you can avoid it at all (since game has no time over), I guess the best option is to just flip to max reached stage instead?

Okay yeah that's a pretty safe infinite leech that shouldn't be allowed.

Adding 1 million or 10 million per stage cleared seems like a reasonable idea to motivate play that attempts to make progress in the game. I'm not sure how hard it gets later.

I'm a bit late but yeah, if the leeching strats are safe, not only adding a bug amount for level cleared could be added, but a specific mention in rules to not abuse of that, would be necessary. Haven't checked yet if you already did so
I guess it'd require also to edit thus check all previous replays, which maybe I can do if the emulation isn't slow on my device.
