Extreme Downhill Motion

Post by gameboy9 »

I move that Extreme Downhill take up Neo Drift Out style scoring - I.E. - 100,000 points for completing a stage, and 1 point / .01 under say... two minutes (120 seconds).

All in favor will vote Yes, all opposed will say no...... and I'm shutting up.

I'm going to extend this vote three days so everyone can get used to the new stuff :) So this vote will last ten days... ending somewhere around the 16th.

I've played it ... scoring seems ok, but 2 remarks :
*each finished course should be rewarded by (120000-timex1000) instead of timex100 because this game gives times with a precision of 0.001 second !
*is it really necessary to give 100000pts more for a finished race there ? because with that, scores will be very close like in neodrift (20 higher scores between 558000 and 559500) and it depreciates good chrono perfs

An example with (120000-timex1000) for each course :
*kale gets a total of 441261
*tim gets a total of 424699 (96.2% of 1st place)

With 100000pts more for each course finished, it will give 1441261 for kale and 1424699 for tim which is 98.9% of 1st place ; so it depreciates good times and I don't see the utility of this bonus

Phil and I hacked it out. We're removing the stage bonus. It'll be taken care of based on the fact that most courses will be done in 90 seconds or less, so the stage bonus is hidden in there. (at least 30K)

So there.
