So it is a problem with the scoring we've build on Marp.
BBH has 6 perfects, so his round score is only 180 instead of 240.
Two solutions :
1- we disallow Time Attack mode
2- we made a split : ninjamas-ta ;
scoring would be only Ex100 -(100000-T) where E = enemies defeated (not considering the round stuff)

Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
I played just once until now, and not Time Attack, but I thought that TIME is the main factor for K8, and that score system for not finished games, isn't it?
I think "creating" other rules can (maybe) open "spoils" for cheap techniques, and the main goal (time of completition) would be useless. Just my begginer opinion, of course needing to learn more about the game.

Sorry,i'm a bit confused,i need more explanations;
What does this means:

What does I have to write about time?GHEMANT wrote: T = total time in centiseconds for last match won
(not time when game over, because in case of inputs with same rounds scores, it would advantage the fastest loss i.e. the worst play)

Hmmm... allowing a different mode (TA) for competition purposes is not good IMO. Both solutions Phil said looks fine. The "B" would match what I just said in the other post, but I prefer "A", yet more if considering just TIME, ignoring the rounds stuff.Phil Lamat wrote:So it is a problem with the scoring we've build on Marp.

Hey, let's go for TIME if finished (and for Phil's "B" if not finished), and disallow TA! Simply is the best!

No... Time Attack Mode is not strictly 1 round. If you get a perfect on your 1st round, you skip the 2nd round entirely and go on to the next stage immediately. If you don't get a perfect, you have to win both rounds (which obviously takes longer)GHEMANT wrote:Time Attack Mode = 1 round only for each character.
Normal Mode = usually max 3 rounds.
Although this is obviously a regularly available mode in the arcade, and the game itself doesn't differentiate between times done in regular mode and time attack... I don't think this time attack mode is the best of ideas. I have no objection to deleting my current recording and re-submitting in regular mode.
GHEMANT, I know you have a fascination with WR's but I don't think anyone in this competition is going to be capable of getting 12 perfects in a row. But, it's your decision....

I entirely agree with BBH. And Ghemant think that "1 round only for each character" probably because the WR is flawlessBBH wrote:No... Time Attack Mode is not strictly 1 round. Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
Is my mistake. I write "Time Attack is allowed", but I wanted say "Time Attack mode only" for this competition. If this is too problematic send in marp, please use this BBS, and write the corret time if you have a ALL clear or time after the last opponent defeat.
Time Attack Mode is a special mode in this game, but all players in Japan use this. I think is a good experiment for Knock Out.

Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
Yes is true... I have tried some test in august, but with invicibility and I'm not shrewed of this problem with 1 or 2 rounds (because perfect).TRB_MetroidTeam wrote:BBH wrote:GHEMANT wrote:Time Attack Mode = 1 round only for each character.

However.... this is a problem for marp's scoreboard only?
I understand this, but Perfect is not compulsive. If you get a Perfect is better for you! Because you skip a round and your total time will be lower.BBH wrote:GHEMANT wrote: GHEMANT, I know you have a fascination with WR's but I don't think anyone in this competition is going to be capable of getting 12 perfects in a row. Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
I think that TA mode can't be a different mode, basically it's just the same thing minus the ... how to call it, perfect skip round?
And, considering that this game doesn't have any real scoring system, it's not too silly to me to praise the player for giving him a bye if he gets a perfect.
My 2 cents, obviously.

Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
So what about Perfect? Each perfect is W(round won)=2 or W=1?
In the last case,score will be lower,so there's something to do about it?

Re: K8 - Round 3 - Ninja Master's (ninjamas)
If you win a match with a perfect on the first round just count W x 2.
