After test some games with Frankie (his and mine system is Win98) we have problems with playback airbustr, ajax, makyosen. I give links to mine inps:

airbustr - fs auto, sound off, wolf78, score 349720
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... wolf78.zip

airbustr - fs auto, sound on, wolf84u2, score 376230
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... wolf84.zip

airbustr - fs auto, sound on, wolf78, score 531240
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... 531240.zip

airbustr - fs 0, sound on, wolf78, score 550490
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... wolf78.zip

ajax - fs auto, sound on, wolf78, score 362200
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... wolf78.zip

makyosen - fs auto, sound on, wolf78, score 98100
http://www.gramtech.dt.pl/destructor/te ... wolf78.zip

This is very sad, what with MARP future if problem will be grow up? Important thing: inps are for people, not for leaderboard only, but people can't playback inps 8O

Are you saying you can't play back these recordings yourself?

I can, Frankie can't.
And I can't playback Frankie's inps. He and I have Win98. Biggest problem is with airbustr.

AthlonXP 3000+, 1024MB, WinXP Pro SP1a
Plays back to just over 70k

Athlon 950MHz, 128MB, WinMe
Plays back to about 249k

No compatible version for a Linux test :)

ajax and makyosen are merely affected by the .63 memory bug.

What we know about this bug which first appeared in MAME .63 is well documented in other threads.

airbustr is a more difficult puzzle.

The recording Destructor linked in the first post of the thread plays back to exactly 7200 for me no matter what I do.

I tried toggling my computer between sets with respect to the .63 bug.

I tried toggling sound.

I tried toggling the 68 core.

Tried toggling -window

Tried with and without frameskip.

Can anyone else play it?

i think airbuster is just plain broke, there will be no one that is able to play those back...

If he couldn't play them back himself, I'd agree.

If he can, then someone else ought to be able to also.

Right?

correct but i think destructor was talking about the ajax ones, i doubt even one's self can playback airbuster recordings.

Hm...interesting. Why Frankie can't playback on Win98? And I can't playback Frankie's inps for airbustr? Hm...

i didn't try in 98, so i suspect airbuster has same 98/xp mem problem (with all mame's)
