MARP Tournament - Final Games entered

I have decided to count Pat Laffaye's vote. Although he is not playing, he can serve as an unbiased view of things, and his unbiased view to my recollection is to avoid several games of one type. With this analysis in mind, Money Puzzle Exchanger(19 points), and ZZYZZYXX(17 points... an incredible comeback in the last six hours) will be admitted into the tournament. Any objections? Please write, I have an open mind. :)

Oh, you KNOW I have an objection...=)
I'm none too happy that you never updated the voting after the
deadline. I was expecting that you were going to announce Badlands
into the tourney when you announced the new games since this game was
#1 among tiebreaker votes...you wouldn't believe how surprised I was
when I saw Money Puzzle Exchanger and Zzyzzyxx in Badlands and
PacMan's place. Actually, I wasn't surprised, I was shocked. I was
actually considering withdrawing from the tourney if I hadn't
discovered that I was good at 2020bb...=)
But now that I have a game I'm good at in the tourney, I'm not as
bitter, but I'm a little bit miffed that Badlands isn't in it.
Of course, I can learn to play Money Puzzle Exchanger and Zzyzzyxx
(The concept of Zzyzzyxx really boggles me...) in the next 3
months...so it's no problem...but I just think I got robbed...most
everytime I looked in the voting, Badlands was among the leaders in
tiebreaker, but by the end of the voting, they aren't...but it's not
updated to say that...
Oh well, I can live with this though...I'll probably forget about
this in a couple days...
I can always hope that it's in the second tourney...

Sports Dude,
That is the thing with here, we don't stay on the beaten path.
Decamame has both pac-mans, and mostly mainstream games, we go
everywhere. As for badlands/pacman-fast, pacman wouldn't make it due
to more than 1 of that time already in (lnc).
About badlands, lost by 2-3pts. not much, but enough to take it out.
The votes to get it out, as I read, happened in only the last 2 hrs,
only I and Zwaxy can update a page that often. (Not against you, gb.
You have other things to do)

I have an objection too. I think its unfair, cause it seems like there
has been some agreement between a couple of players,so that both
changed their votes,in the last minute,so that many of the marp
players didnt have time to do a change too. I think both pacman and
badlands should be included in the tournament because of this.

The weird thing is...I don't even think I saw Zzyzzyxx listed on the
tourney page...=)
I'd be fine without Pac Man (especially if Neil Chapman resurfaces)
but I feel a little slighted with the Badlands ruling...
I know votes are votes, but it seems like I got the short end of the
stick when it came to choosing games. I got Combat School, but the
game I wanted was Badlands, of course. =) I didn't expect the other
3, but the only reason I wanted to be in the tourney was to kick butt
in Badlands (this was before German Krol kicked mine, and before I
found 2020bb...which should still be my lead until PJS submits the
correct recording (his recording is only about 38,000 really, and
doesn't have all the good stuff mentioned in the description)), and I
thought when the tiebreaker was made, I thought I had my chance, but
then more 3 point games got added, and so were more 2 point games,
and instead of people keeping their votes for my game, they voted for
the others...and by the time it ended, my game barely got edged out
despite leading for a while.
Now, I know rules are rules, and being edged by a couple votes isn't
gonna make a shot at getting into this tourney (if you increase to
15...which you should considering the number of people that might be
in it...) any easier, and my complaining isn't gonna help, but I just
feel like I got robbed.
You don't have to add it just to make me happy (the same way I wanted
you to take out Tempest), I can live as long as 2020bb is in the
tourney, but I just feel like I have a cloud over my head about this
whole Badlands thing.
I don't agree or disagree about putting those two games that were
scheduled to go in earlier in the tourney, rules are rules and you
can't just bend them to make one person happy...however, I do think
that since Money Idol Exchanger and Zzyzzyxx passed them AFTER the
deadline, that Badlands and Pac-Man Speedup version should be
in...while keeping miexchange and zzyzzyxx...
You guys can do whatever you want about this, I won't be angry if I
don't get what I want, because, as Mick Jagger says, "You Can't
Always Get What You Want", I've learned to live with that. However,
if you do have a change of heart, expand the tourney to 15 games, AND
put Badlands in, I might be VERY happy. In fact, that might motivate
me to do good in the tourney...I wasn't that motivated initially,
even when I pulled off the 60,000+ pacesetter in 2020bb...
Well, peace out...and I hope you make the right decision for the
tourney...hopefully, you'll figure out what the right decision is...

Let's script what happened with these two games.

Money Puzzle Exchanger got it's 19 points quite early as a matter of
fact. Pat Laffaye's vote came in around the 2nd of July. I believe
that was the final vote for that game.

As for ZZYZZYXX, we had 5 points at 2217, another 5 points at 2221,
another 5 points at 2227, and another two points at 2233. 17 points
in 16 minutes. Point of matter is I sorta have an objection too. I
wonder how this happened myself...

Personally... I'd like to have badlands and/or pacman-fast myself. I
probably should have changed my vote... but I didn't. Technically, I
can't do anything about it now. There will be one rule that's I'd
like though for future tournaments - no game that's been picked may
be picked again for the next 1 to 4 tournaments. Variety, right? So
I think of it this way: you WILL get badlands in there eventually.
You WILL get pacman in there. Probably both will land in next year's
tournament.

Well there's my 12-pack of Cherry Coke's worth. Catch yall later :)

I personally was online when the first 3 5pt 'ers came in, and since
I liked the game, and that my previous 2pt vote was already in, I
switched it BEFORE the deadline, as was my right. If you cared about
the game, you should of been on to see it yourselves... One vote
could of changed things, and it did. Pacman wouldn't of been in
anyways, due to the rule against multiple games of the same style,
aka Pacman and Lock 'n Chase.
