Kid Niki - Radical Ninja

As i was playing this rather fun game with a ridiculous name lately, two things occur to me :
First, the top inp barely shows any skill except how to leech points in level 2.
Second, the default settings seem to have changed from 5 starting lives to 3.

I don't really mind for that 2nd point, 3 lives seems fair enough to me, i just wanted to know if there was some kind of rule for that...

I'll have a look at these .inps. I'll also amend the RULES page to
read that the MOST RECENT MAMEdev settings for a particular game bind
to all scores, so the scores will be revised to three lives (AD,
don't worry, I'll get around to modifying TMNT as well when I finish
my job in two days)

Leeching for Radical Ninja will be checked and discussed in a future
post.

Note: There seems to be severe problems with arkatayt. As best as I
can tell, the game is supposed to award a bonus life at 20k and 60k,
and the starting amount of lives is supposed to be 3. The game
currently starts you with 2 lives and 60K bonus, DESPITE what the dip
switches say. Can someone please double-check this for me, and then I
will proceed to notify MAMEdev via MAMEtesters?

Last time I played the taito version there was no extra until 60k QT..
or was it even 100k.. I will check it tonight..

But as you say QT, only 2 lives from the start and no extra at 20k.
