Thanks... you thought you were nervous? Rounds 21 and 22 can be
very dangerous, so I was trying to play as careful as possible...
until I stupidly die on Round 24. I was beginning to think that I
shouldn't have done that much leeching on Round 17, which I majorly
screwed up on anyway...

Congrats to Lord BBH! You almost done it again! Wasn't there 7
something million pts recording on Rygar from somebody which I can't
remember who?? about two years ago until Zwaxy lost part of recording
(inps) due old script crashed! (If my memory served me right!);)

I don't remember a 7 million score ever being uploaded to MARP...

Hisa, you'll have to forgive me for being skeptical, but 10 million is
a LOT of leeching. I don't see how death can be cheated for THAT long.
And to further complicate things, Rank Bonus resets to 1000 after
reaching 64000, so that would hurt end-of-level bonus a bit. Plus, I
remember hearing that the Japanese record on Rygar was something like
9 million...

Congratulations BBH on an awesome recording. I was a bit surprised at
your death at the end of 13 - what happened there? Also there is room
for improvement, you could have leeched a bit better on 17 - two
lives weren't utilised - i.e. died before before the red head
appeared. I can see you getting that elusive 6 Million soon -
especially if you leech out until your last life before going onto
level 18 (you kept one spare). I noticed that you sometimes took the
crosses before the red head appeared - more room for juicing points
here. Easy for me to give advice when I'm so bad at Rygar that I've
only ever got the 1 Million bonus on level 13 once

I think one of the tricks to a high score is to get the rank up early
and keep repulse on 12800. The secret to both is of course maximum
leeching and taking risks with the red head.

But I've got to agree with BBH Hisa-Chan. 10 Million? Where are the
extra 4 Million points going to come from? Let me guess, Rank 6 or
above at the end of level 1.

I DID say it was a "flawed performance" The Round 13 death was
stupidity, I was trying to hurry up since time can run out fast on
that level when you're going for the bonus stars and the million-point
flag... so I dropped down in front of that rock thinking I could wipe
out the grunts fast enough, or even if I screwed up, they wouldn't hit
me... it happens sometimes, stand next to a rock and they'll charge at
you, but won't hit for some reason. This time they did. (and why
was I "hurrying" anyway? So I could try to pick up any extra time
bonuses before Big Scary Blob of Death [tm] comes along, since once
the timer hits 0, all they're good for is a 2000 bonus... every second
counts since enemies are quite frequent on that round and let you
build your Rank bonus a bit)

and yes, the Round 17 leeching was pretty weak. Trust me, I was trying
NOT to die before Big Scary Blob of Death appeared.
