VS Super Mario

Somewhere for the annoying and/or off-topic threads to go. Feel free to post about whatever, but abuse will still be dealt with, and possibly with more force. Especially pac-porno. ;)

VS Super Mario

Post by NotMan »

I heard that rumors that there is a World 9 on arcade version or possibly World A-D. Although, it does still exist on NES probably on Japanese version???

Could anybody explain how the trick works and how to get there on World 9.

Here the pix!

Ok QRS! Try this link

http://zunzunteikoku.hp.infoseek.co.jp/ ... gi?page=42

or if this link doesn't work try...

http://zunzunteikoku.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

under Replay BBS!

I'm not sure if it was hack or not.

Don't know about you, but that looks to be a Super Mario 2 NES replay...

Yep! You're right Mahlemuit! It was a japanese version of Super Mario Bros 2 on NES. Never heard this version before and I wonder if there was arcade version or not.

I guess that will end the rumors of infamous World 9 in SMB1. :(

SMB2 on NES in Japan was the SMB-The Lost Levels in most of the rest of the world.

The Lost Levels includes worlds 9 and A-D.

SMB2 for NES in the USA and most other places was actually the third SMB game in Japan.

We can easily verify this by using that SMB combo cart for SNES that includes The Lost Levels game...and see if you can match that screenshot in 9-1.

I think SMB2-J was also on SMB Deluxe for the Gameboy Color.
