Re: PacWhiz - galaxian
definitely! his accuracy of shot is amazing. any game that requires accuracy of shot he should own.
he has WR on Lunar Lander also....another game that requires very accurate shooting.
I wonder if he has ever tried centipede/millipede type games. I'll ask him that next time we chat.
take his same great timing for shooting he should do great...although trackball coordination maybe isn't a skill he has developed(?).

I'm pretty sure Aart told me that he was once able to get around 600K on Centipede.I wonder if he has ever tried centipede/millipede type games. I'll ask him that next time we chat.

Hi guys,
Sry ppl, never saw this thread ... apologies.
Thx for congrats
Rick, the other game is "Lunar Rescue"!
Lunar Lander exists, but i have never played it (yet).
I do like shooter-games with trackballs, btw. My control wasn't that bad way back when, especially considering i was only 13 - but obviously nowhere in the vicinity of Don's level of control.
Don, you are correct, good memory - I don't remember my exact score on Centipede but it was in 1983 in Saudi Arabia, and it was over 650k. I always used the center tunnel method back then. My nickname was TNT (dynamite lol - nice one for Millipede). I remember that only one other guy, Jeff Norel, was better than me and scored close to 700k, beating my hiscore. After summer '84 I never saw or played Centipede again until FunSpot X in 2008. I can barely break 70k now lol
Oh PS: I got a 1,987M on Galaxian at FunSpot XI too, but it wasn't recorded
2 flag-rollovers and 540 flags in total lol
