Didn't you read his remarks?

You have to play it back left-handed.

Seriously, it plays back to 1525 for me.

Playsback ok for me, as expected...

Alpha623 tron -playback left -mouse

Do not push F10 in the middle of playback, but before I put coin in.
Works at normal speed too, if f10 not used.

Very important to check if this playbacks or not. I don't want to beat TG record with an inp that doesn't work, if I could.

Maybe this helps: roms used, mame.cfg, tron.cfg

deleted cfg nvram

used alphamame 62-3

playsback to score of 1525 points.

using the files you provide makes mame crash to windows

if you do not delete cfg nvram it crashes

sometimes the mcp cone is first event

at other times it is third event

lacks synchronization

-nosound causes sound board error.

tommi you need to post your mame.ini there is no dos alphamame62, so you are using the CLI version which reads the mame.ini file. I get the same results (being the 4th person!), so your score is *clinically* zeroed, but i won't zero it until i verify it won't work with your mame.ini :)

I found only one mame.ini at my computer, imo it's in totally wrong folder though. I dunno if this helps or not. If not, no great damage done, I'll submit something new when I have time to play. This is really a practice game and a check to see if playback or not. As I told earlier, I don't want to fluke a new record just to notice it won't playback for anyone. Next time I play with TGmame 32_35 final.

nope, no playback with that ini or missing ini, zeroed. even tried the -sr 22050 hint i left on your first 1M tron rec. looks like its back to tg3 for you, well you can try wolfmame too, that thing is sweet, 74 appears faster than 73, not sure why, it's still using the 60bytes per frame.

Man, I'm lost like Alice in wunderbaum. You mean 30 frames/second?

Or are you saying there are framerate diffs between mame vers?
I can not use anything after mame62, because of 63 problem....which means anything before 63 ver does not playback :? (badly executed sarcasm)

Game on!

I think he means the INP frame size is still 60 bytes per frame. It was increased a couple of versions ago.

oh crap, i forgot that tron was susceptable to that, large mouth bass for me. hey tomi the recording never gets passed the cones, maybe make a shorter recording, i.e. play with NO hands :), and see if you can get one of us to play it back. It doesn't seem right that you would be unable to record with tgmame62...

try .1 and .2 too

Ok, does my recent Tron submission playback for you guys and gals???

My last serious try was 2,1M...now 2,6, you can see the pattern... TG world record of 4,58M by DBH is tough, but I believe I can do with a good zone. Don't want to beat it with a recording that does not playback.
