Actually the special rule is :
(Won fights x 100) + points reached in last fight, where you lose
In the game we can make KOs, whod don't give any points. Of course make KOs is relatively rare.
So with the current rule we can have :
Guy A : Reach fight 10 with 9 KOs and lost 10th fight 5-10. So he had 910 points (9x100 for each fight won + 10 of the 10th fight).
Guy 2 : Reach fight 10 too, but with extemely harsh victory in each fight (26-25 for each), and lost the 10th fight 25-26. So he had 925 points (9x100 for each fight won + 25 for the 10th fight).
It appears clearely that Guy 2 is first but it's the worst player, and the best one is only second. It's not fair.
So I propose this rule :
(Won fights x 100) + 10 points for each KOs + point average, last fight counted.
In the exemple Guy 1 now had 985 points and Guy 2 had only 908 points
Any advices ?

uhh, wouldn't this be 905? He got "5" points in that 10th fight. The winner got 10 points.Francois Daniel wrote:Guy A : Reach fight 10 with 9 KOs and lost 10th fight 5-10. So he had 910 points (9x100 for each fight won + 10 of the 10th fight).
This is difficult...cuz there are tons of games where the "better" player is perhaps not the one with most skill. In some cases, a trick is used or special knowledge of the game is known to get a higher score than what others that are actually more skilled at the game can achieve simply cuz they aren't aware of that trick or knowledge....and choose to not even play the game that way cuz it's not what the game developers had intended.Guy 2 : Reach fight 10 too, but with extemely harsh victory in each fight (26-25 for each), and lost the 10th fight 25-26. So he had 925 points (9x100 for each fight won + 25 for the 10th fight).

Are you going to make special scoring rules for each of those cases? There are 100s of them.
There are tons of other games where a player can even just get a little lucky with a setup of a tough stage that doesn't make it as tough so doesn't require as much skill to get past as it typically might.
In those fights, it might actually require more skill to reach 26-25 winning decisions each time versus getting a KO which likely is pretty easy the first few fights at least.
There also might be a little luck for some in different scenarios for the same fight where it's much easier to get a KO. So KOs aren't necessarily a sign of skill.
Versus both of your cases a more skilled player would win that 10th fight so would have 1000 points beating both of them anyway.
I'll have to check out the game to comment further. I assume the game itself has no method of scoring? it has no money awarded for each of the fights, each punch landed etc.?

The only points are those given by judges if nobody is KO after a round.LN2 wrote:uhh, wouldn't this be 905? He got "5" points in that 10th fight.
