Re: T14 Rules
Last commandline you give is the correct one :
mamearcade viostorm -record viostorm.inp -nvram_directory NUL -frameskip 0
But first did you check if you have a previous nvram subdirectory ? (in the directory where you have mamearcade.exe)
Because if so, You have to erase it first, then try the commandline
mamearcade viostorm -record viostorm.inp -nvram_directory NUL -frameskip 0

Re: T14 Rules
That explains why previous inp doesn't playback.PG3 wrote:I deleted a folder NVRAM
After recording your inp, check if another nvram folder has been created ;
the answer has to be no, if you still have one then it's the problem

All is in proper place nowNotMan wrote:Amidar have been updated.
- 0.142u4: Patrik Styrnell added Amidar (Konami 1982). Renamed (amidar) to (amidar1).
Notman, your 1337040 has disappeared as it was recorded on same set (now amidar1) than your incredible 2999980 ...
I guess you're back to work
Re: T14 Rules
The INP filename is a parameter of -record, you must put it after -record.PG3 wrote:There is no "hiscore.dat"
1 sample: mamearcade viostorm -record -nvram_directory NUL viostorm.inp
2 sample: mamearcade viostorm -record -nvram_directory NUL -frameskip 0 viostorm.inp
OKAY?
So:
mamearcade viostorm -record viostorm.inp -nvram_directory NUL -frameskip 0

Thread was a little confusing. Are we doing amidar or amidar1, or does it matter?

Re: T14 Rules
I guess that we play amidar instead amidar1. Amidar1 is probably the easiest version and it can be marathonable. Amidar is pretty close same as Amidar (Stern version), afaik. @Phil. Actually I did 5m something on amidar long time ago, but I took it off and replaced with that 2.999m replay.

Re: T14 Rules
Yes we play amidar, and you must use wolf166 (the actual amidar wasn't avalaible under 106).
I agree with Notman, amidar1 (1981) is the easiest version : you have 4 jumps for each level, and an extra life every 50k (30k, 80k, 130k etc infinite).
As it was marathonable, amidar (1982) came back but with 3 jumps only
And if you want to play hard version, as far as I remember, amidaro (amidar from Olympia) has only 1 jump per level

Re: T14 Rules
Can you post one of your desync inp, I gonna try other test.PG3 wrote: But now I recorded from the command line
mamearcade viostorm -record viostorm.inp -nvram_directory NUL -frameskip 0
and I had no NVRAM folder after recording and it was desynch.
But I'm afraid there is a problem here.
Up to the tournament coordinator to decide what to do ...
