Does not playbck past 66,500 regardless of sound, throttle, FS, or version.

Also of note tht light gun games suck ass in MAME, none of them work properly for me.

Operation Wolf is about the only lightgun game I've tried in MAME (is that really a surprise?), and I've never had any major problems playing recordings back. Although I do think you need to disable auto frameskipping, and use fskip 0.

this is a xp 98 thing, playsback fine in win98 cli, no fs. no throttle.
