The Game: Krull

romname: krull

Reward: $50 (usd)

Deadline for submission to MARP: October 8, 2004 2359 hours GMT

Further Bounty: none

Been wanting to do this one for awhile, but didn't want to do it too soon after Black Widow because of the similarity in controls.

I started to use my dual-joystick X-Arcade panel, but decided early on that I was better off with a gamepad. Better for movement, but I never really did get comfortable shooting diagonally. Might have been better off in the long run with the sticks.

The third stage is really tough for me. When you have to go through the little maze in the center you have no room to dodge. If one of the slayers materializes and shoots you with his first shot, there's not much you can do. They can also materialize right on top of you.

A pretty good FAQ, though written in an annoying style, is here:

MARP's own Q.T. Quazar devoted a page to the game here:

Starcade's site has a little video of the game here:

Yeah, I'll allow u1.

I was sort of aiming for your 120k there, but wasn't able to beat it. I did have a 114k, but I accidentally overwrote it.

Gavin slipped me a few bucks to try to distract you from the big showdown.

Results:
1st: Ian Sutton
2nd: BBH
3rd: Don Hayes

Amazing work, Ian.

And Don moves into a tie for the overall lead in the totals, and Ian moves to within striking distance himself.

Ten weeks to go, if I'm counting correctly.
